  • This week on Buckle Up it's GOOD NEWS Harry reviews his latest purchase, a Dacia Jogger Comfort 110 TCe. This is the Romanian's brand new large 7 seat family car, though they refuse to decide if its an MPV, SUV or Estate. Starting from £16,645 it offers exceptional value, but is it any good?
    Up against rivals such as the Citroen Berlingo, Ford Tourneo Connect, Peugeot Rifter, Renault Kangoo, Skoda Yeti, Vauxhall Combo Life and Volkswagen Caddy Life does the Dacia offer a thrifty but fun alternative?

    As a Duster owner (18 months), I don't care about brand snobbery, I absolutely love my Duster. I don't know how Dacia manage to produce their cars at such crazy prices, I have all the bells and whistles needed, and non that I don't need. Dacia have hit a stylish design formula, that no other maker can compete with. Great video, and no you've made a great choice. Cheers

    Great review. As a 6 month Jogger owner I still have the same feelings. So I think you made the right choice for the purpose. It's hard not to like it if you appreciate the practicality of things(not only in the cars) - from the current Dacia production this seems to be true for Sandero and Duster in their respective groups. These days you even get some bells&whistles on these cars. Did you get the phone holder yet? It should have been there from the beginning, unattached.

    It's is impressive! I just bought a Duster, and the only reason why I didn't get the Jogger is because there's no option of a Jogger with automatic transmission. But I'm sure there would be in a few years. And I hope Dacia keeps true to its philosophy and keep those prices down.

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  Před rokem +9

      Hybrid Jogger is available to order now with an automatic transmission. Due to the batteries and hybrid drive it does start from 22K unfortunately. Still making it is easily the cheapest HEV available on sale.

    @kenweir5099 Před rokem +1

    Love the review, very fair. I got a loan of a jogger when my own car was in for a service. I was a bit hesitant due to the one litre engine, but It was excellent! There are so many things I like about this car. One in particular is the Volvo type rear lights. In an age when rear lights are small and almost an afterthoughts in many makes ( which increases accident risk) it’s refreshing to have a car with lights you know others will see. The interior space is incredible! In an age when some car reviewers are calling £30,000 cars ‘affordable’ ( they don’t say for who though). It’s refreshing to have a car of this quality and reliability that definitely comes into the affordable category for many more people. Well done Dacia!

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  Před rokem

      The entry isn't great, I actually find it easer to just fold the backs down and step over. With the third row folded forwards you're really left wanting for boot space but it would be better if the seats could fold into the floor. It's the trade off for having such a bargain price tag

    Do they all have an electric emergency brake? I hate them & it's a deal breaker for me. Surely the main point of an emergency brake is that you have access to a cable operated brake should all hydraulics be lost. An automatic emergency brake cannot be used in an emergency.

    I don't agree, this car is not cheaper, the rest of cars are too much expensive....
    However Dacia is becoming more expensive, a Duster 4x4 is about 25000....
    We just shouldn't allow how cars are becoming more and more expensive and hard to afford for everybody...
    Dacia is a decent equilibrium between what we need and what we pay.

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  Před rokem +5

      The Duster 4x4 is priced from £20,945 and even optioned up is just over £22k. This is exceptional value for money. Currently inflation in the UK is running at 9.9 percent and workers waged have been depressed for the last 15 years. The car industry is not to blame for the fact our labour market refuses to offer real terms wages.
      Go on strike, demand fair compensation and hold the ones responsible accountable.

    Not buying it , because if any of the car systems fails, there are no spare parts. It is as simple, as the dacia factory are not supplying the vendors with spare parts :( This has been confirmed by my local vendor. And I am experiencing it on my own Jogger :(

      @@BuckleUpShow Oh... I am thinking about this and many other people have come to the same decisions in similar situations, but ... this will only confirm that Dacia is not providing a real warranty to its cars :( Paying the price of the car I am paying for warranty too. If I get the car somewhere else to fix it (I know a place that will fix the car even better then the official service), Dacia will end my warranty. On the other hand they are not fixing it under the warranty. It is a loose - loose situation.

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  Před rokem

      Okay well going to a different Dacia dealer won't void your warrenty, dealers aren't owned directly by Dacia so what one has in its service inventory will be different for each dealership.
      Also, what is it that's actually broken on your car, and with it having been three months have you tried escalating it at all with the finance company or dacia corporate because odds are if you want out they'll buy your car back and you can walk away obligation free.

      Within the context of the price there is no fatal flaw, but I definitely didn't say it was without fault.
      There's no problem with how the boot shuts, I'm not really sure why you're hung up on that. Actual flaws would be the engines non-linear power delivery, some of the material quality on the interior, the odd pedal spacing but I have no complaints for closing the boot.
