Thanks for the nice video! I'm a Phoenix native and I've stayed in Bisbee a few times. It's a very special, eclectic, little community. I fell in love with it. I like to stay at the Copper Queen Hotel, which is very nice, and it makes you feel as though you've stepped back in time. If you travel to that part of AZ, you can use Bisbee as your base. After you do the Copper Queen mine tour, next day you can do day trip to the Chiricahua National Monument an hour away and do an easy 4-mile or 7-mile hike on the trail. It's truly a hidden gem, with it's towering rock spires. Photo's can't do it justice - you feel as though you're walking through nature's cathedral. FYI, it's where the famous renegade Apache Geronimo lived. You can also do a day trip to the famous town of Tombstone an hour away and watch their gunfight re-enactments.

I can hardly wait until I can travel back to Bisbee. I visited in the fall of 1970 when was stationed "down the road a piece" at Fort Huachuca. Toured the Lavender Pit Mine, which was still operating. I returned in December 1970 to bring magazines and toothbrushes to fellow soldiers who had been jailed in the Bisbee Jail in a very large drug "sting" by the Cochise County Sheriff and the Army CID. Great to see the architectural and mining heritage preserved. Thanks for the visit.

I was stationed at Ft. Huachuca from 1977 to 1980 and went to Bisbee frequently. Heck, I've been married there twice and had two honeymoons at the Copper Queen. It's still a great little destination. It's a town full of antique shops, bars, hippies and stairs. Lots of stairs.

We lived there when I was little. My dad worked in the underground mine. Bisbee is a wonderful place. It's a really cool place, very artistic place now.

Excellent exclusive Queen Mine Tour at 8:44 ! We went on the tour on the trolley and didn't get this much information (or maybe I wasn't paying enough attention). Doug Graeme is very informative.

I really enjoyed your mine tour, because we just came back from one.
We had the other, older guide with a big group, he was very entertaining!
Your video covered extra details and thanks for sharing!

I lived in Bisbee for a while. The climate is amazing and I really like it there. The only down side is it is so close to Mexico. Maybe they have the border under control by now but when I was there you had to wear a side arm at HOME!

Well, I have a trip planned to go here, I live in Phoenix (got in a car accident tho, so I'm not sure when) and I am a photographer so I'm really looking forward to all the different interesting and old stuff down there. I was going to go in March but probably not now...may have to wait until fall. Thanks for the vid, just came across your channel.

Unfortunately a lot of old photos of the town are copyright protected, and rather expensive to get the rights to use. -Caleb

Great town, but if the mining companies ever decide to do modern mining, it will be an ugly place to be.

Lived in Bisbee from 1977 until 1981, At that time , Bisbee was the town where freaks settled down.
Now its filled with Lesbians :( .........wanted to buy a house there in 2015, Because I loved living there before.
Looked at places three different times from Phoenix .....and decided I didn't want to live there any more, its that prevalent . NO THANKS.... already did San Francisco in the 70s. Its gross !
