I'd say dagestanis are better at mixing both up. For example khabib just keeps his hands up 100% of the time, blocks shots, and when he gets close he grabs on to you and chain wrestlers. Some of these guys like gaetje forget they can do that as well. Granted not to the extent of khabib or Islam but he'd rather "bang it out" another good example would be Colby and Usman, they know how to mix punches with wrestling . And of course Daniel cormier too. Henry cejudo is a beast too, he doesn't even use his wrestling much, at least in recent fights

If anybody is curious what is going to happen in this fight I know it’s been a little bit. But remember when Dan came in w hope & Islam treated him like a child who had wandered into the cage- Bobby is great and a fun fighter. But this is a nightmare matchup for him. Just like it was for Dan
Only difference is Bobby's takedown defence is far better. That could be the difference maker.
Hooker is so tall and linky it's hard for him to get low quick enough to defend a take down. Bobby does not have this problem. But obviously Islam is an elite grappler so he could absolutely find a way. But styles make fights and I find this to be somewhat of a worse matchup for Islam than hooker.

Everyone is giving props to Bobby for taking on the fight and yeah okay credit to him for saving the event, but he's just tryn to earn extra money and has NOTHING to lose fighting Islam and risking nothing. The real props should be given to Islam for saying he'll take on anyone and backing it up.
