I am trying to improve my dress style. I would love to see a video on dress style for men in their 50s. Im am 5'10 " 154 lbs so i am slim. I am assuming that wearing slim fit pants would fit my body style ?

How do you keep the ankles warm if you loose the white socks
If you're under 6' tall, don't wear shoes that contrast with your pants; it draws your eye downward and makes you look shorter. Same goes for a chunky cable knit sweater--it'll swallow you up if you're a smaller guy. Which reminds me: I wish Ashley would make a video for shorter/smaller guys, btw, since the same "rules" don't apply as for bigger or taller men.

Not sure I 100% agree. I have some dark denim/navy coloured shoes and if I wear them with jeans or navy trousers (as we say over here) then it just looks a bit odd. Knitwear can work but the best type is something with a "collar" or funnel neck etc as it gives the illusion of more heft. I am under 6 foot, by the way so I do think about this a little bit!

Hi Ashley. Could you make a video on the principal of how to combine (and not combine) different levels of textures? Use of texture seems to be a forgotten corner of the menswear CZcams space. Plenty of videos on combining colors - almost nothing on the use and misuse of texture. Another welcome video would be on go-to dressing formulas/patterns e.g. the "sandwich" that you referred to in this video: Color "A" for the shoes and top and color "B" for pants = A, B, A. (feet, pants, top). Thank you for the video. :-) Dressing casually but stylishly and not sloppy can be a challenge! ...but less so with your advice.

Nothing wrong with jogger style... but I do not see it as business casual. But then I think joggers and a brown leather aviator jack on an older man would look nice.

Chinos or stretch denim or joggers are all very comfy. I never ever wear a pullover always have a vest or jacket instead. Always they to strive for classic chique even when casual.
I still wonder how a stylist would style me and if I would like it or not. I don’t have some of these things but also don’t like it on the models. However sometimes some stuff does look awesome just a habit thing I guess.
Also some of these outfits totally mismatch in color. Maybe that’s my conservative classic chique style but when I wear white sneakers, a colored chino I am wearing a white dress shirt. It needs to “pop” in contrast. Some of these colors just don’t go together imo

I think I’m going to need to upgrade my jogger wardrobe to non brand joggers as I just hit 30 yesterday and I don’t think wearing adidas joggers will be suitable for my age.
I also just hit 30 and I think a mistake we make is limiting ourselves too much. If it’s not your thing don’t wear it. But don’t stop if you’re worried about what others think. Just find your style. Ashley is good at a very basic look. Timeless, but basic. That and personal style are vastly different
I have a very ambivalent relationship with black clothing. All black can be a classic look but I think it can show a bit of a lack of imagination sometimes. I can't put my finger on why I don't like all-black but there you go, just my opinion! I do own some black tops but not many and generally prefer blue or grey.
I also prefer pull over hoodies to full-zip ones. They are less practical, granted, but they just look better, in my opinion.
Try all black, but different textures/materials, and add something that pops. OR add accessories.

It works if your joggers are the same color navy or black. As a general rule socks should match your pants not your shoes. Gray joggers, wear a gray sock.
“Elevated casual joggers”?? 😂really? Why are we trying to “elevate” gym/lounge wear? There’s a garment for that: tapered chinos. What’s next? “Elevated pijamas” we can wear to the office?
