So for what jay said at the end about the shield sometimes being a wall and sometimes not, I don’t think the shield is what’s keeping them there, the chains are, by giving the “trapped effect” and they can only go a certain radius that is equal to the circle, making it seem like a solid wall. This changes interactions drastically, cause when the enemies get hit with doom punch or orisa spear they don’t get that extra damage from hitting a wall. It also kinda explains why when rein charges it goes through cause now they have a pinned effect rather than a trapped one but that might be the only one to get an enemy out of the cage that your team can do
Mauga pretty much pairs with anyone who has an ultimate that doesn’t wide area of damage, Orisa, Doomfist, Sigma, Rammatra, Dva, Hammond, Mei, Reaper, Jumkrat, possibly Pharah if she stays out of the shield so it can stop people from shooting her, Sombra (especially with her buffs), genji (kinda)
Funny enough it seems that Baptiste and Mauga do work well together but situationally, like their ultimates can work together but it feels like there are other support ultimates work better, Nano boost for Mauga is better for overall damage, Lucio to keep Mauga alive for more damage, Life weaver and Zenyatta for healing to keep him alive, Kiriko for a speed boost and faster fire rate

All the tank ones would be cool if we still had 6v6

You could have two Mauga's with Echo copy. So you'd have to be careful canceling out the ult. I wonder if the Echo copy's Mauga, ults, then the tank Mauga goes inside the ult, does he get unlimited ammo? I love figuring stuff like this out. When mauga ult was 15 seconds at 1st u could hear the full version of the music in the cage but now it just cuts off at 8 seconds man people constantly complain lol

If only i could even play him. The moment S8 dropped ps5 players have had unplayable lag spikes. On top of that being in-game its also in every menu.... I tried to get coins for the battle pass and i never reveived them even after multiple log out attempts. Took a while until they finally were put into my account.... Great start to the season
