- The eye of Hurricane Beryl is nearing Jamaica. The worst of the weather from Hurricane Beryl will be on the southern side of the island where winds could gust over 100mph. Heavy rain, flash flooding and storms surge will also be likely. Hurricane Beryl will then make its way to the Cayman islands and Yucatan peninsula before heading to Mexico or Texas early next week.

So many meteorologists on here are just giving a brief rundown like none of these places matter.
It seems like unless it hits the United States directly they don't care.
And then they play everything down until it starts to hit the United States not saying this storm just saying overall.
They downplay everything and then when it starts to get real that's when they go into the fear-mongering stage.
Thankfully people like yourself who are taking the time to give a thorough walkthrough so people know what to expect, obviously it's a hurricane think shift East north south intensify or get sheared.
But I don't like what the other meteorologists are doing like Jamaica doesn't matter.

If you’ve never road a cat 5 hurricane you need to add it to the bucket. I’ve been through three, 1 cat 3 and 2 cat 4’s. I’m headed to Corpus Christy Texas now, hopefully I’ll make it to the south west coast by early morning just in time to ride out a cat 5.
