well, vWF is synthesized by megacaryocytes, stored in the alpha granules of platelets, then released into the blood stream. vWF is also synthesized by endothelial cells , and released into the subendothelium (that's why you see it immersed in the collagen).

Isn't VWF within the endothelium and Platelets?? rather then immersed in the collagen??
