Jeg er dansk rygmarvsskadet som har bygget sådan en Yamaha 125 ccm motorbike til at komme rund med når jeg er i Thailand næsten 6 måneder om året. Jeg havde selv gået med ideen et par år inden jeg fik bygget en. Det er en ny Yamaha 125 ccm, og næsten en halv motorcykel i reservedele.... Der findes mange sjove køretøjer i Thailand, men ingen i Hua Hun har set sådan en før, så folk er ret nysgerrige når jeg parkerer et sted i byen. - Auta a dopravní prostředky

Hi Brian, you can put a semi automatic ATV engine with reverse instead of battery so that no more charging every 4 days. by that you have twin engine and have more power in uphill. just put separate thumb throttle for atv engine. you turn off the atv engine whenever you don't need it. Just a piece of advise brother. Good job. Thanks for inspiring me.
well yeah,, coz its CVT, and its really hard to put a shaft or chain drive.. but because you add a electric motor on the other end.. you can use that if you ever get stuck right?
BTW does the 2nd chasis a stock one? or you just fabricate the whole assy?

The inventor is me. I have made by my self in my garage in my home in Thailand. Just from a normal motorbike I cut in half and bought a extra frame and a lot of other spare-parts.

Here in the Phils that vehicle will be impounded bcoz its "modified" and say you cant drive bcoz of "disability"
Or if ever you were to register it, youd be paying double for "elevator fees"

I don't use my wheelchair, but couldn't ride a scooter due to balance issues. I wonder if there would be a way to make something like training wheels for it?

I have updated my trike since this video. I have made home designed fiberglass front with waterproof marine boat stereo with Bluetooth. and many other extra gadgets.

Very nice!! Do you also take passengers on those side seats? If not you could have made the system way cheaper. But it looks real good. If yes maybe you would need some sort of handle bars in the front to provide some holding grip for your passengers.

I'm nearly never drive with passenger. And on short way in low speed. One of the seat was there from from when I bought the motorbike standard from new. So I just made the other side similar do it look better. But actually I have been driving with 4 slim beautiful Thai lady's same time but that was only slowly and for fun do there friend could take photo and video.

And I have just put the first movie of my new building project up on CZcams. The new and bigger motorcycle will be finish this week, so there will come more videos of this soon.

How did u manage the differential system here?
I noticed when turning, the rear inner wheel was moving slower than the outer wheel which is how it works in a car for a smoother and smaller radius turn.

IT only have the 125cc motorbike motor on 1 back wheel. On the other it have electric reverse gear

It's impossible to make traction on both back wheels with out a complicated system. Remember it's in Thailand, so it need to be very simple so it's possible to get it repaired in every motorbike shop.
It's not my plan to drive in mud and sand, so i don't think it's a problem as it is now.

Hi Brian - very nifty bit of gear. I am interested in the actual legal situation. Do you keep the original bike's registration and number plate...? Do you inform the authorities that it is now a 3-wheel "motorcycle-sidecar"...?

I bought a new motorbike with numberplate. And after a made it to a handicap trike.
It's not really road legal now, but in Thailand the police and the system tolerate different kind of disabled vehicle. The police have dropped me 30-40 times. But only because they are curious to know where I buy, how much it cost, ect.
I have been on the main car test center for the province in prachup khiri khan. And had a personally meeting with the boss. He said it was very well and strong built, but according to the law he couldn't approve it with legal paper.
But anyway it's still possible for me to get incurrence on it.
Right now I building a bigger one from a Honda Forza where I will jump to the motorbiken seat for more comfortable driving on long trip. It will be finish next month, and also come here on my CZcams channel.
Thank you Brian for your detailed reply. What you explain is what I expected... but I'm surprised you can still get insurance. Do the insurance company inspect the vehicle...? And do you pay Tax...? For the original bike?
I am very impressed with what you are doing here - I have had similar ideas myself but have always been told it isn't possible. It's a shame I'm no longer in Hua Hin - we might have had some interesting chats...
I imagine your new bike will 'park' the wheelchair on a 'sidecar' platform, in which case it should be road legal... Is that the plan...?

yes i made it by my self... and got some help for it from some Thai friends But the idea and design is 100% mine
It's possible i will put it for sale next year, and build new 1 from a bigger motorbike. Soon i will start to make a new front spoiler with integrate driving light, turn signal light and a panel with waterproof Marine stereo with Bluetooth, all electric contact (extra light, revers gear, compressor horn, safety switch contacts and more). I will build it up in metal, PU foam, and fiberglass,, and the it will be painted in the motorbike color and with similar graphic.

I think it should have two traction on the rear wheel.. so it can roll up even the other wheel is stuck.

It's custom made by me.. I can build so it fit for all kind of wheelchairs. But can not use it in US and Europe. I live in Thailand and have build it there, The Thai police accept it untill now.

The motorbike is a lot better now. I have hand sculpted a fiberglass super strong 4 layer fiber re-enforced with a metal frame. It have marine boat waterproof stereo with Bluetooth. And change the reverse gear to a system there have a lot more power.

Awesome design! One suggestion though, instead of a strap to lift and lower ramp you should design a steel lever with handle, that way it locks in place up or down
Why is there a 131 thumbs down? I'm in a wheelchair and I think it's awesome to see this video that's the answear for most of us who are in a wheelchair a good transportation to get around town for grocery shopping and many many other thing's. Thanks for sharing this video.

I don't have any drawings... I just had the idea in my head when i build it.
But if you show all my 3 video of the motorbike to some motorbike mechanic in Vietnam, i think they can copy it for you.
I can also build 1 for you in Thailand, but maybe it will give you problem to get in to Vietnam and number plate on it...

My motorbike is home made in 2012, i build it in Thailand.
You can order one from me, And i can try to custom build it for your need's. But you can't drive it outside Thailand, because it's not road legal.
I think, it illegal in Thailand law but no officers enforce the law. ha ha

It have electric reverse gear, installed on left back wheel (opposite side of the motorbike motor).
It's made from a Toyota a ratchet and starter motor and a 12 volt 65 amp car battery. It have a lot reverse power and can even drive in loose sand or little bit up hill, and reverse speed up till about 20 km/h
On some of my other video in my CZcams channel you can see it drive reverse

Nothing at all, yours is good something I would try being a T12. But Lee beaver bike is still a bit better in my opinion that's all. I would try yours before even thinking about Lee's.
It's 2 different things. Lee's is for fun, you can't have wheelchair with you. Mine is for real daily use.

Actually I have tried to have 4 beautiful Thai lady's with me same time, but just for fun to see if it was possible and feel if I still can control the steering and brake. It worked fine, but it's not safe, so it's nothing I can recommend on a busy dangerous Thai road.
