I am grateful to see a wonderful painter. Great great job keep the good work up they're in your country. And I look forward to having Richard Musgrave Evans painting in my house someday. Many thanks😊
it’s your attention to detail, the small changes in values and, not least, pure bloody brilliance, that makes it such a joy to watch you create. Thanks for sharing. What an inspiration you are Richard!
As always, thank you for sharing! I love how you invite us into your thinking as you go along... At the end, when you zoom in, I feel the same excitement a kid might feel in their favorite candy shop! SUCH delicious details in the way you apply your color!!!!
Wow Richard Love your realistic but abstract style…Not easily achieved.I have been following you for a long time and you are only getting better and better! Truly a Master….thanks again for great content to learn from and enjoy!💕🇨🇦
People unfortunately seem to focus on the differences between all of us. We're all more alike than we know. If I go out to my old barn here in Upstate, NY (NOT, New York City), with the exception of the names, brands of tools, and different types of spiders, we have virtually the same building. 😊🙂 Awesome subject, great work as always! Thanks for taking us along!!!
Richard your paintings are so inspiring and something I enjoy almost on a daily basis. I also paint with a knife and your videos have shown me so many ideas. Thanks Joba
Richard, I watched every minute and then ran to my easel. I took note of the left hand. Controlled by the right brain. The speech centers are avoided in the expression/impression of reality. When the speech centers of the left hemisphere become involved deliberately or unconsciously, the art is gone. It becomes a pipe in other words as the Man once said.
No matter the subject you create a wonderfull art piece, so any video you share is a moment of joy and learning experience. Thank you so much for existing and sharing. Stay safe, have fun and be happy. See you on the next video.
Richard, I look forward to your videos and am never disappointed! Thank you for sharing your talents with us and showing us your techniques. There was a gale blowing here where I am too....🙂in South Africa.....
👋Hi Richard, nice to see you back so soon. I like this creation, I think it brings back the glimpse of the "good old" days, although those things have not yet reached such a lofty age. But the painting gives you the impression of a certain ancientness of the individual components, wistful memories blow at you; my father also owned such a heavy and therefore very resilient workbench with vice and other useful utensils; I miss it🙂 You've excellently rendered the sturdy wood in fine tones including light and shadow areas, and the red tin cup goes wonderfully with the warm brown hues and darker areas of the background. Also always grateful for the in-depth explanations. Excellently done, Richard ! Thank you very much, and have a great weekend.❤
Hello Richard 2 dreams into one like you always do, simply fantastic 1.dream your still life cool 2. dream your order in the picture you have to take a look at my workshop absolute chaos reigns there Kind regards, Andrea and Günter
Hi Richard. The roundness of the cup and the sharp edges of the vice is so interesting as well as the contrast between dark and light, warm and cool! Adding the strands of cobweb, wow! Your reverence for the subject is so apparent and a reminder of how beauty can be found all around us. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
G'day Richard, you are in your element once again with that rustic studio. Great for tonal values and you have captured them brilliantly. The "lost and found" at play in this scene. Enjoyed this one very much mate. Cheers, Rich
Been watching your videos for a few months now. Your sunset/sunrise pictures while out camping and your beach paintings are some of my personal favorites but this one I think has catapulted to the top. This one feels much more specific and detailed and looks amazing. Well done good sir!
Amazing to watch a man doing quite simply something impossible for me! You must have made millions of paintings over the years? What do you do with them all?
Hello Richard. No matter what you paint, it’s always a wonder to me. The corrugated metal, the hollow in the workbench under the vice... everything is perfectly represented. And I was wondering how you were going to paint the cobwebs: beautiful! a few fine lines, a few dots of white and that’s it! Bravo again for this beautiful painting.👏👏🙂

Hello Richard!! Fantastic to see your painting again. What a contrast between shadows and light, they are the life of that painting. Congratulations!!
Still lifes or landscapes, always a marvel! Congratulations from Switzerland.
Many thanks!!!

🤩 another goodie.
You captured a realistic sense of lighting and form very early on, even in its abstract state. Well done 👏Wind great 👍🏼
Excellent! I'd really like to see where and how you sign your paintings. Talk about style and placement. Thanks for another fascinating demonstration!
Beautiful painting Mr. Richard
I love the subject. It came out great, but also the size of it seems to be fitting. Much larger or smaller wouldn't have the same feel.

Love it! Your use of color is awe inspiring. I would never think to paint this subject matter, but you did, and it looks incredible! Well done.
Love to watch you paint. The lighting is really dark lots of shadow was hard to see.

Obrigado . Brasil

You make it all look too easy. Extremely jealous of your talent. Keep it up.
Thank you for being unflappable! great painting, don't let a woman in there, she'll ruin it by washing it or throw it away!

Do you find you use more paint on a painting using the palette knife as opposed to brushes?
