Thanks for sharing. I am surprised the manufacturer chose to submerge the esc, if any water leaks into it, it's fried. Risky design.
I'm sure it's super waterproof and mint for cooling for optimal efficiency

In fact, the water pressure in shallow water is not so great. The requirements for waterproofing do not need to be very strict.Just apply a dab of glue to the inside of the ESC case.So don't worry.my friend.

I cut off the leads and use a xt90 connector
Nice what can of battery can you use with this motor?
This kind of motor generally uses a little more lithium battery.Then you can choose lithium iron phosphate battery or ternary polymer lithium battery according to your use environment.😁
I was using a Milwaukee 18 volt 12 amp hour battery
Hello I will buy this product (Underwater Thruster 24 V 400 W Brushless Motor) online since I cannot find it in any local stores. Could you please advise on what else I need to buy in order to make this work? I'm planning to hook it up on my Inflatable kayak's fin
The main thing is a battery if you're not into building them yourself you'll need to get one. There are a lot of tool batteries that have adapters that would work just fine for it. The only thing else that you need is a fin on your inflatable if you don't have one already.
How often do u open and clean the motor?
Never had to pull it apart but if you mount it in an unreachable spot weeds do get in it and it's and it sucks

You could use a Milwaukee battery that's what I typically use
Top speed when in high?
I was getting 3.5mph on a inflatable paddle board. So something that cuts through the water better would go faster I would guess
