Yeah i started with a yamaha mt 125 it has no power en top speed flat is like max 120km/h but it is super fun in corners and very lightweight.. i had a few close calls in the beginning with going to fast in corners and this bike was so forgivin! Bc of the lightweight you are able to slow it down fast .
My first bike was a 1990 GSXR 550. After years of riding motorcycles, my wife started to think she wanted one and I got her the Harley iron 883. I found it used it’s perfect. It’s lightweight. It doesn’t sit too high. It’s not too loud. And the best part is they make it so it can grow with you when you start getting more comfortable on the bike. They have a 1500 cc conversion kit. And there’s so much customizations for it. Even my mother-in-law who already had another Harley that she didn’t like, sat on this one and rode this one around and loved it
If I saw that correctly there is a matte green/metallic black Kawasaki 650 to the right of the R3. I just got that bike last week and it’s been a blast it’s also my first street bike.
My first bike was an ‘03 GSXR 600. Some might say 600 is overkill for a beginner but a) I was 32 with a smarter head on my shoulders than if I was to get it when I was younger and b) my friend who was a very experienced rider watched over me on my first rides. Starting in a parking lot, then side streets, then main roads and so on.
Buy a small engine either a work or naked bike because they are lightweight and easier to drive in corners. Buy side metal guards because You will drop it maybe 6 times the learning week.
I love the R3, it is the perfect starter bike! Go for it, getting a bike will be the best decision of your life, so much fun! Make your dream happen. 🎉
@AhmeddR6 There are DOZENS of bikes more user friendly/beginner friendly that the R7 which is a 689cc sports bike...I do not understand people's obsession on saying it's a beginner bike while basically any sports bike is more difficult to manage than any other bike + has 689cc with 70hp... Take any 125, 250, or even 450 and it will be more beginner friendly than an R7...Take any Harley/cruiser below or at 600cc and it will be easier than the R7. I mean honestly I don't get it. I think the fact that the R6 is gone and the R7 "replaced" it really pissed people off and so now it's really "R6 is the meanest most difficult bike to ride, Best ever" to "R7 is a kid's bike when you're 14 and you want to give it a shot with motorcycle because it's just so low power" type of thing.
You start from underbone, you go to motard, then naked and then street ones. You can do whatever but that's the smoothiest transition that gives you most skills through time

If you guys really want a genuine beginner bike, I’d recommend starting out on a funny bike. Ik it has a weird name but it basically just means you’ll have lots of fun on it! Good luck to you new riders🙏
Don’t buy a new bike as your first bike. Spend 3,500 max on a bike with newer tires, and good brakes, lower miles. Take it to a good shop (not a dealership) and get it fully serviced, new fluids, filters, chain and lines. Don’t buy a bike with a carb. Don’t buy anything less than 500cc. You will grow out of 300cc in a month. My first bike was a 750cc Moto Guzzi Breva with 5000 miles. Cost $2250 Mechanic: $450 Arai helmet with Cardo system: $650 Boots: $70 Total: $3420 R3 costs $5500 before the dealer costs.
I kept my 300 for 2 years and had a blast on it. Also that air cooled Breva was making as much power as a 400-500cc with a modern engine. I love Guzzi and think most make amazing first bikes but you absolutely cannot compare it to a modern EFI Liquid cooled 650-850. The V85TT and Griso are actually two of my dream bikes.
Perfect bike to start on (that was my 3rd bike). Cheap to run & maintain, around 70hp (enough torque but paired with the heavier weight, not too dangerous for beginners) I’d say go for it..
Pretty light, but still has some weight so I do recommend putting sliders on the bike. Buy a used one they're pretty cheap. It has a sporty design but has a comfortable riding position as it's a sports touring bike. Power wise,it's still got enough to pull you out of the bike so I also recommend getting to know the bike before getting it to higher speeds. As always ride safe brother!
R3 is great, but honestly I'd recommend some 125 - 300cc bikes for beginners. Your groms, Mt-01s, duke 250s are all great and cheaper than the bigger ones
Just got my 1st bike. 06 katana 750. Pretty comfy, has some speed, and handles great in corners. I’ve also been riding dirt bikes a while too. So maybe that’s why starting on a 750 wasn’t bad for me. Everyone’s different. Just remember, that machine you’re on, can kill you any second, stay safe out there boys!
I rode a CBR 600rr as my first bike and I’d say that 600s are a great place to start but only for some and I was not some. I lacked a true respect for the bike and almost died on it more then I can count on my hands. It wasn’t always my fault but still I wasn’t skilled enough at first to be able to just hope on and ride. My biggest weakness was speed cornering. I will say I lived in an area without an accessible track which I think would have helped a lot with practicing.
A good beginner bike is a cheap carbureted one from the 80s and 90s, it teaches basic repair and boosts confidence because not much can go wrong compared to a old car
Bought a new Z650 as my first bike. Within 2 months got hit by a car that ran a red light and fled the scene. Everyone asked, “so you gunna give up riding?” Nope! Too much fun. I always feared death (or how I was going to die) but now, I’m pretty sure I will have my hands wrapped around my handle bars when I do go. And weirdly that has provided me a sense of solace.

I started on a used R6 at 16, person before me kept it original for resale and he was a new rider as well(was a smart thing since I didn’t want some stretched trash which everyone on marketplace was selling) he even gave me some tips before I even bought it. Took it home and the next week I was riding and I’ve been riding since at 24.
R7 is a decent starter bike I'd say. It's torquy, comfortable and good in the city streets whilst also keeping up on highways if you find yourself being tempted.

I am thinking of getting the RE hunter 350 as my first bike, I do ride scooter, an 110cc Honda Activa (moped like Vespa), and will get someone's old 125cc bike to learn on
I got an r3 for my first bike Its a ton of fun. It’s idiot proof and it’s quick and easy to handle.
I wanna get a mt03
I heard they don't go that fast tho, wouldn't that suck If you wanna get on the highway
Thats a good bike. I hear the ninja 400 is also a great bike I do mostly city riding and local highways , 0-85 mph its rips and handles well. Believe it or not i was at a light with two honda 1000 n i left them ,eventually down the highway they blew by. It’s a good bike to build your confidence riding. Eventually you will upgrade. No regrets what so ever. Safe riding
I got the R7 perfect daily bike.
@@edwleo8124it has plenty of power for the highway, as long as you dont plan to go over 100mph lol
Obv Hoss Boss is hands down the absolute best beginner bike
My first bike was a 1990 GSXR 550. After years of riding motorcycles, my wife started to think she wanted one and I got her the Harley iron 883. I found it used it’s perfect. It’s lightweight. It doesn’t sit too high. It’s not too loud. And the best part is they make it so it can grow with you when you start getting more comfortable on the bike. They have a 1500 cc conversion kit. And there’s so much customizations for it. Even my mother-in-law who already had another Harley that she didn’t like, sat on this one and rode this one around and loved it
R3,Ninja 4000 or cfmoto 450ss
Look them up and pick which fits in your buget, the features you like and speaks to you the most.
I was interested by the cf moto 450 but with my 6'4 / 190cm I'm way more confortable on cf moto 800 nk 😅
Imao this is David Putra that shown in Oggy and cockroaches cartoon 😂😂😅
Dropping that in the parking lot would be least of your concern 😂
Nice bike and clean si🤙🏻
Buy a small engine either a work or naked bike because they are lightweight and easier to drive in corners. Buy side metal guards because You will drop it maybe 6 times the learning week.
I knew that was a ducati from the start because it'd my dream bike
Ahhhhh that's the bike I've had my eye on! Finally seeing it other than a pic.....good starter bike? Or no? And that color scheme 😍
100% agree I need it!
I love the R3, it is the perfect starter bike! Go for it, getting a bike will be the best decision of your life, so much fun! Make your dream happen. 🎉
@@TheDucatiBaddie Yay! I'm super excited lol Thnx Sis! 👊
R7 for begginer ir crazy tho
Nope. R7 or mt07 are pretty beginner friendly bikes
You can do whatever but that's the smoothiest transition that gives you most skills through time
Bought a single owner 2006 R1 in red for my first bike and took the BRC with it. Best bike I ever owned, very comfortable for a sport bike, excellent ergonomics and an absolute drop dead gorgeous piece of machinery. Work of art.
I rode a 2006 R1 when I was 13 hit 139mph on I-95 really depends on the person and how responsible you are
i cant tell if ur bullshitting or ur just really badass but it sounds bullshit idk
I just learned how to ride my bike, i think it helped alot that I'm into MTB but people still get shocked when they learn my I'm a newbie on an H2😂
Big facts, had a 06 gsxr 1000 for first Street bike. Rode dirt bikes my whole life prior so it was no problem for me to start on that. Just have to have respect and experience riding
Very responsible to go 139mph, yes
H2
Get the H2R instead, the R stands for Really easy to learn
i started with a grom because my mom was scared of me having a faster bike, i got tired of that after 6 months (did my safety course and then rode it like 15 times after that), traded it in 4 days ago and got a 2024 ninja 500 and i've ridden it every day and plan to continue that streak i love it so much it's a perfect beginner bike, slow enough to learn, fast enough to grow
I'm 49 years ol and been riding bikes since I was 16 I first started off on a lil ass 50cc after getting the hang of thing I got a 250cc after throwing that around I got a 600 n now I can ride anything salute frm Newark nj16thave aka BRICKZ CITY BIG JERSEY....NO BRAINZ RACIN TEAM FOEVA 💯
I’m starting on a 650cc
yea i started on a boosted 600 youll be fine
I want a bike but I’m thinking about a Kawasaki ninja 400 would this be a good beginner bike
yeah
@@Aidan_035 dont get a 400. please. they are terribly slow and boring and sound bad. its basically a toyota prius in the bike world. start on a 600 and have alot of respect for it and be careful. a 400 you will be bored of in a week
i’d say go for the ninja 500 ! around the same price range with like 50 added CCs which could come in hand in the longer run
@@user-bi4qy9ii8y it’s better to start on lower ones cuz for sure 600 cc bikes costs more so it’s better if u practice with a lower so if ever u crash it doesn’t cost too much
@@user-bi4qy9ii8y even moto control said that starting with a low cc bike is more efficient cause u can practice your motor skills before u use higher cc bikes
Best beginner bike = SPLENDOR
1995 Gsxr 1100 is my first bike no complaints other than it’s heavy when stopped but light af when in gear .
The guys I know recommended the Kawasaki Z1000 as a first bike, they said it's ideal because it doesn't have fairings to mess up if i drop it, so i just bought one. I'm picking it up at the dealer next week, can't wait!
💀
😂😂😂
If you guys really want a genuine beginner bike, I’d recommend starting out on a funny bike. Ik it has a weird name but it basically just means you’ll have lots of fun on it! Good luck to you new riders🙏
Funny bike meaning the ones that run on alcohol?
@@Prowler9000 yeah! Super easy to ride and cheap for beginners, personally I run mine on jack daniels
R1 as a beginner bike…. Got it
Best bike is def a BMW. Too clean and all the best features with no compromise.
My first bike was a 750cc
Moto Guzzi Breva with 5000 miles.
Cost $2250
Mechanic: $450
Arai helmet with Cardo system: $650
Boots: $70
Total: $3420
R3 costs $5500 before the dealer costs.
I'm going to start with a used Kawasaki Ninja 650, what do y'all think?
Good bike to start with. Very comfortable bike too
Perfect bike to start on (that was my 3rd bike). Cheap to run & maintain, around 70hp (enough torque but paired with the heavier weight, not too dangerous for beginners) I’d say go for it..
I got the same thing but a new one lol 24 ninja 650 as my first. Yes she’s already been dropped and yes she now has crash bars on her 😂
@@thomasguy1780 Dam bro that sucks, we're just 4 months in!
I love sport bikes that sit more upright instead of laying down
Bro indirectly called it a "chapri" bike 💀. Give my man an aadhaar card already 😆🥂
I started on a MT-10 (for real), I felt normal. Comfortable.
350 hp Turbo Hayabusa with extended swing arm is a Perfect beginner's bike.
I think it's a very good starter motor. :D
That R3 was hella pretty

Bought a new Z650 as my first bike. Within 2 months got hit by a car that ran a red light and fled the scene. Everyone asked, “so you gunna give up riding?”
Nope! Too much fun.
I always feared death (or how I was going to die) but now, I’m pretty sure I will have my hands wrapped around my handle bars when I do go. And weirdly that has provided me a sense of solace.
Me, absolutely never getting a bike, like ever... Watching a beginner bike video
Funny, I got my '24 R3 in that exact white/teal color scheme on Christmas Eve last year. It was my introduction to riding and I absolutely loved it
A twin charged bussa is the best beginner bike. Hands down.
Gixxer 600 was my beginner bike (rode dirt bikes a lot when I was younger though).
Crf250l. I do currently have a ducati and dropped it in a parking lot. Must haves are frame sliders and sliders for the wheels. I didnt cry because i was already on my way to get a 6 pack
Bought a 21 r3 as my first bike last week
Got myself a honda CB300R as my first bike. Very nice too. I've seen a R3 an it's very nice as well, light weight am not too big.
I love that White and teal R3
Back in the days there were no beginner's bikes. We were riding everything we could get 😅
I started on a Kawasaki Z900 2023 and love it! I've dropped it a lot, but I still love it! It's a nice, pretty cheap bike.
i have an R3, my first bike, had it for 3 years. great bike. first time i pinned it, definitely surprised me. after 3 years of course it doesn’t have the same kick and i’m about to upgrade but non the less, its a great bike. looks solid to.
KTM Duke 250 is a great beginner bike. Much better than r3
That’s my dream bike. Best choice you can make.
I started on Z400 and I would say its the best starter bike. light, upright and relax stance and has ABS and slipper clutch
State 8 is a fantastic dealership, took care of me when I bought and sold with them. Definitely going back
A good beginner bike is one without a fairing and the power of two garden lawnmowers!
Still on my beginner bike -- a 1983 vf750c magna. It has been perfect.
Start on a supermoto, you don’t have to worry if it gets dropped.
R7 is a decent starter bike I'd say. It's torquy, comfortable and good in the city streets whilst also keeping up on highways if you find yourself being tempted.
By used bikes for your first.
And would recommend staying under 300cc. Like 300cc ish or less
Dope bike 🏍 I love your videos, brother 🎉
That's a good looking r3 ❤❤❤❤😮
I personally am starting on a 100cc dirtbike, just like my dad, exact same model too and my next bike is going to be a 250cc then i’ll probably stick to 600cc’s which in my opinion are perfect
BRO FAILD THE ELITE CHALLENGE LMAOO
R3 was my first choice but went with a cbr 300 either way amazing Learner bikes great for getting your license and learning skills/tricks
Duke 390. Insane power and fun and u will never bore from it so u can keep till next 600 or above upgrade
ninja 400/450 is the best beginner bike
So real that's the best beginner bike fr
My little cbr300 is perfect not to heavy or too much power, and the 1 cylinder sounds honestly pretty awesome xD
DUCATI PANIGAL V4 as Beginner's bike ...
Heaven gate and Hell gate

( Great joke bro btw ). 👍🏻
Asking SERIOUSLY : WHY NOT ... ????
🤣🤣🤣🤣
En la pose de espalda creo que es importante comentar la CINTURA y forma de X.
Para mi se la lleva CBum, aunque Josema esta cerca.
Started on a second hand NMAX, had a good amount of mishaps with it and got the hang of road riding, and then an R3 with a bit more kick
The forged carbon is lit
Royal Enfields are tye best to start on
I work at a Yamaha dealership I get that the r3 is maybe a little overhyped but people like it so much cause it’s loud af and the fastest out of the man brands at its displacement
That r3 was pretty sexy. I wouldnt mind it even as a novice
Wish south africa had bike shops like this
