I didn't jump in on the Star Wars collection, but I said this on Mel Thompson's video and I'll say it here too: I think this was a hyped collab that we were fighting with bots, Star Wars collectors, and Pat's fandom to get. I hope PMG's customer service steps up, but I think the bots have found our little makeup community using Shopify specific bots. I have a feeling that's why the Selfridge's limited releases have been mislabeled...I don't know what ecommerce platform they use, but the bots people use look for keywords. I'm glad you got this and could do looks and comparisons. I'm happy for anyone who was able to get this collab and sad for any fans who missed out. xo
It's impossible to be mad at you, you are such a sweetheart! I couldn't get my hands on any of the 3 palettes, I was very upset about how poorly these launches were handled by PMG and Selfridges, but I 'm happy for people who get the palettes and they deserve good videos like yours. And you made me think about my eyeshadow collection and how I could dupe some colors so.... Love your videos, you're so sweet, funny and informative 😘

I'm so glad you decided to upload this video. I LOVE this pallete! These colors are my favorite since I've been on this Pat train this year. I was able to get Decadence as well and I think I'm taking a break in 2020. Pat McGrath's responses to the glitches that I've seen on IG seemed really tone deaf and even though it didn't affect me personally, the whole thing doesn't quite sit right with me. I look forward to more of your videos on using stuff we already have because honestly I don't need anymore make up when all I do is shuttle kids and go to Costco.
I hope Pat realizes this craziness of limited edition is just bringing out eBay vultures and lining their pockets. I think there should be a limit you can purchase .. IE 1 or possibly 2 so you can help out a makeup sister . Love your reviews, demos and commentary is spot on 💖

oooh pretty! p.s. you can review wtf you want, it's your channel, and if ppl don't like it, they can avert their eyeballs elsewhere. love this review! I feel especially pure and virtuous since I consciously decided to not pick these up and thereby missed the debacle. That said, I feel that somehow, there's going to be a restock or end up in Sephora of all things, and we will all collectively have a seizure of indignation before recovering and buying them, 'cause, well, it's in Sephora, and there, and available, and you get the picture... if that happens, you know we're all going to be furious, right?
p.p.s. I looked over some of my indie singles and realized I have extremely close dupes to most of these, plus the smoked amethyst in last year's PML holiday palette. JD Glow metallic, Notoriously Morbid, and Looxi beauty singles I own are subbing nicely. Also, I hate to bring in Too Faced, but believe it or not, the Tutti Frutti Razzleberry created an amazingly close duped vibe, at least for me, I couldn't quite believe it.
Oh yes! TONS of dupes, and I think this curation can inspire different combos with several shades! I definitely need to pick some shades up from NM!
I got both of the mini palettes and I'm in looooove! I had only planned on getting the one, but am so glad I was able to get both. I am really quite surprised at just how much I love them and I'm a die hard PM fan. And I LOVE Star Wars so this collab was truly a perfect storm. These might be the two PM palettes that I use the most out of my PM collection.

My email came 10 minutes late but I was able to get in and check out with zero issues. I don’t understand why some folks had issues and others didn’t unless it was internet or device issues, cause you know we were all in there mucking around at the same time. PM was genuinely concerned, she must have been because I received a DM from her that night asking me if I’d gotten the palette. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I never requested a DM from her, but she must have been going down the list of comments on that Instagram post trying to help people as much as possible. I hope I can get Golden Opulence when it comes out, but it’s the luck of the draw. Love your channel, love your looks, love your reviews! You’re the biggest PML fan I’ve ever seen. You just keep on keepin on!

I just love these palettes! On Christmas I wore Burnished Honey in the crease, Bronze Nebula on the lid and a little Cosmik patted on the center on top of Bronze Nebula. It was gorgeous!

I'm glad you decided to put up this video! In truth, I think people are well within their rights to be upset and PMG should learn from this experience and be more structured for future launches. I hope her brand continues to thrive, but doesn't brush off this experience and how many customers felt. But you're always so enthusiastic and informative about makeup, so please don't feel like we're watching just for a specific product, we're also watching to learn from you! (That ended up being way cheesier than I thought but you get the point) 😄

I was ready to buy the entire collection of the Star Wars collaboration but due to the ridiculous release schedule & website glitches. I was lucky enough to grab the Galactic Gold palette and matching lip balm because buying them as a duo was the only way I could add them to my cart. I truly hope that Mutha Pat gets her stuff together in the New Year because we're spending a chunk of change on her products. I mean we chose what we are going to spend our money on & I really don't enjoy or care for her erratic release schedule or website glitches. I must say I really appreciate the packaging as well on this release, it just makes more sense & is so much more convenient. Mel Thompson is also shares our frustration and I don't know if you saw her review but she is really jealous that you got Golden Opulence because she wasn't able to get it herself. As per usual, the looks you create are super inspiring.

I love both looks you created! I've only used both palettes once but I see so many looks that can be created. Dark Galaxy is my favorite of the two. I need to change up my application routine and start with my lid shades first then do my transition shade afterwards to see how different it will make my looks. It appears to have a more seamless finish blending after the lid shades, especially with bright colors. I can't wait for Golden Opulence 😁
I found that as well in regards to the metallic and matte application! And I think I’m leaning towards Dark Galaxy to be my fav as well.
Living vicariously here. Maybe she will come out with a legit cool tone palette with some groovy colorful shadows. This palette won’t pull me off my low buy, today. Plus, it’s scarce... wtf.

I really liked this one but in spite of my best efforts I missed out ☹️ but I still want to see you review it, On the bright side tho I got Decadence which was for me, is the main event. Saw lots of people got cancellation emails hours later but thankfully I got a shipping confirmation last night and have just had an update from DHL to say it has landed in the UK. ✈️ Yay, phew 😅. Love the looks you did with this palette; I am glad you released this video! If people get butt-hurt about not getting releases, that's not on you. It looks like Pat's team has been hinting about the Golden Opulence palette release in one of today's Instagram posts. I hope that anyone who wants it gets it, when it does drop. I really feel the brand should stop releasing stuff exclusively at Selfridges , they look like they have trouble managing releases. I have never heard of Sephora releasing things by accident; I'm just saying. I hope the next thing she releases after this is Mothership VIII.

About the GO palette, I would have bought it too! I believe it was a glitch, otherwise it would have been up longer.

Lindsey Luckett PMG Labs has repeatedly stated that there will not be a restock. I had friends who were watching Selfridges to see if they could get their hands on them after they saw mine. The rumor was that they would sell them on 12/26 when Decadence dropped. It surprised a lot of people when they went on sale on the Selfridges app on 12/23. Sold out almost instantly. Funny that Selfridges still hasn’t released Decadence yet but I read that they had waited until they actually had the 2 smaller palettes in stock to sell them.
I absolutely love this palette. It’s so gorgeous! I’ve used it three times and love every look I created with it

I love your comparison swatches! I didn’t get either of these palettes, I did manage to get the SW Decadence though. No clue how. I really want Golden Opulence. It so beautiful. You can get such a beautiful, yet very subdued neutral look with that palette. For 2020, I have a no buy rule, except for PML 😎
I got all the Star Wars palettes due to some lucky twist of fate! But even if I don't get the Golden Opulence, I like to see your ideas on putting looks together, and can always substitute similar shades I own. ❤💛💚💙💜
I'm getting so hyped watching reviews and waiting for my palettes! It is taking forever to arrive in Europe but I blame that on the holiday shipping craze. Anyhoot, I cant wait to pick up the Chinese New Year palette. The packaging is ace and the color story is right up my alley 👌

Love your comparison swatches and looks as always!! I bought this palette and felt that there were some combined shades that you could make if you already owned Subverversive mothership III. The cosmic shade is VR pink in a creme/ metallic finish, and Saturnalia has the exact same base as Blitz Flame, but it has pink gold and blue reflect in it. It's pretty, but there is no need for FOMO if you missed this and the Resellers are out of your price range. If you own subversive and Mothership 5 you could make this palette with even shinier finishes.
I agree: you can definitely make these shades happen in some capacity within the Pat vault.

I was lucky enough not to have any issues with getting the 6 pan palettes (very different story for Decadence), but I would watch even if I didn’t have them since you’re so thorough with your comparisons, and I like seeing how you choose to combine the shades. I know the constant stream of releases keeps you busy, but if you have time, I’d love to see you use this in combination with la vie en rose and/or Mothership III.
What a great review. This pallet is gorgeous. Please do not apologize for being able to get this. I went through this type of purchasing mess with Lush Kitchen. I loved your video chat speaking about the vultures out there already posting the pallets on eBay for what I’m sure is an outrageous amount of money. Unfortunately this brand is not the first to be in this situation and I’m sure it won’t be the last.

I just received Dark Galaxy 12-27 (that was a long shipment). I regret that I did not get the gold palette as well. I am pleased, however, that I was able to get Dark Galaxy because it is a beauty. :)
