      I was going to post the same question. African is NOT a country but a continent comprised of numerous countries. The narrator managed to identify separate countries in Europe and in the Americas. The same consideration should be extended to the individual countries in Africa as well.

      if you are a person who are an activist or want to learn a trade this is great. You get a bed and a roof and some food. Choose a 3 day work requirement and save your real money to splash on the rest of the week. You complain that you are working for someone.... don't you work for someone already or your business? Yourr pay is your lodging so no you are not a slave. Hell I will go to Italy and pick grapes and learn to make wine. All vacations do not have to be in a 5 star hotel and you will learn some HUMILITY, see what work the people who produce for "your" food goes thru.... see what regular people in the world have to do on a day to day basis, learn their culture. By the way missionaries also work and have to pay lots of money to go help people. Everyone should do it, you will be much more appreciative and have a better attitute when you coma back home!!

    • @mrmo4059
      @mrmo4059 Před měsícem

      @@liliro34 i am a forex trader working for myself and i double down on what i wrote. Slaves got beds, a roof and some food. Ive looked at the "jobs" that are offered, and im horrified at the audacity of paying a company, so you pay to travel to the country and then you are working for free while someone else is getting paid. Using your example of wine making, the wine is being sold FOR MONEY so why should they not pay the people making the wine. If this was a volunteering scheme where you are giving your time to plant trees or building a school for a poor community then room and board is fine and its a great idea. However its not and is open to exploitation from cheap businesses who dont want to pay workers, while giving them poor food and poor housing conditions. I would have a lot more money "to splash" if i was paid to woro for those three days!

    Yeah thats crazy. Africa a continent not country it is made up of 54 countries and then Uganda is one of those countries in Africa. He named every other country specifically. If he was going to just be lazy about it why didnt he do that with all of those South American countries. He never said South America like he did with Africa. Definitely biased and yeah i lost interest in the video too. It had mostly South American countries yet he called all of them by name.

      @user-ck8rh4ee9o Před 3 měsíci +1

      This is definitely slavery. Many of the descriptions say you'll be cleaning and farming or taking care of animals for just room and board. And how are you not trapped there when you're making no money and if you want to quit you instantly become homeless with no money. I honestly don't know how they can pitch this stuff with a straight face.

    • @Dan-xx5jq
      @Dan-xx5jq Před 3 měsíci

      it is real. But you might find out it us not worth it for the amount of labor you put in. There is a YT video of an American who went on one of these programs, working on a farm in exchange for room and board in Australia. He assumed he would tour the country when not working. The first place he went to worked him to, death that he was too exhausted to go anywhere when he was off. He did transfer to another farm where he didn't have to work as hard, but with no money he couldn't travel anywhere. He also got very, very sick and almost died as he didn't have the money to see a doctor and thought he would eventually get better and he almost died. Fortunately his parents had the money to fly him back in the nic of time, to the US for treatment.
      If they paid a small salary it would be worth it but if you have no money in savings to use, you will be stuck without going anywhere.
      It is for folk that want to contribute to the world and experience a different culture without much sight seeing. And they do have a lot of the hippe types willing to do that.
      There had one Canadian that was so screwed up with drugs that he jumped on the opportunity for a new environment by flying to Thailand and turning his life around. He did turn his life around. He also never returned to Canada.
      Also, keep in mind the meals are very, very basic, at these places and some are completely vegan. They grow all the vegetables needed and you will also have to help with assisting in food prep and clean up.
      So if you are looking for a change of scenery, wanting to meet like minded people that want to change the world like Hippies once tried to do, these are great opportunities.
      In the past the Peace Corps was very popular. You did work full-time but they paid you a small stipend for your personal expenses like food, rent etc.

      I tell you what I am a professional, I made good money and paid off my house, rented it! worked good for a year, paid off one of my credit card. LOST MY JOB, my dog died, my father died back home and because my house was leased I could not go back to it. I was told I was overqualified or obsolete, so I could not get a job. I was soooo close to being homeless . I was offered to sit a house, not big, grandma style, do the gardening I was not paid.... I was broke and could not do a lot of anything....but praise God I had a secure decent place to sleep, a stove and refrigerator and a shower. I will forever be grateful for that place and that person who helped me and still I helped her!! So if you want a home+pay then do not look here. Get the job you need, live on your own and have the experiences you want to get. This could be a blessing for others
