The caveat to what you said at 3:01 is that if the young performer can get a *scholarship* through the performing arts so that they will graduate with no debt... DO THAT. Minor in Business though, I agree it needs to be in there because that will be how you do what you need to do.

I am so happy to hear that! Just start by taking lots of acting classes, doing plays and watching actors work in all of the academy award winning films from the last 10 years. Try to see what they are doing that makes them such good actors. Sometimes watch with the sound off! Watch their body language, their gestures, what their eyes are saying....

Hey Wendy, it's been a while since I've seen one of your videos, and it's funny because I'm at a crossroads in my career, and one of your videos just popped up! I've been grinding away at acting for 15 years now. Not full-time because I had a mortgage and two kids. I have an agent, and I've gotten a few co-star roles, I've even produced my own pilot, which is now on Amazon Prime. I audition all the time, and I take classes, but my career is still not moving the way I like. I want to take things to the next level. I'm in an on-camera class now, and I'm auditing a Chubbuck class next week. ( And I'm getting new headshots). I've been told by the casting directors here in Atlanta that I'm good (I guess that's why I keep getting asked to tape), but I'm still not booking. I think I need more, but I don't know what that is. Any advice? BTW, I am considering only working part-time if necessary.

Hello and respect. Thank you for guiding me. I have been acting in the field of theater and cinema for many years and I even visited a course in Italy and worked in theater with the Potlach theater group and got a degree. I also took a directing course. But because of the conditions of my country, I can't and I don't like to work. I wish to come to America and study acting again. Can you introduce me to a non-academic free acting class or a theater company so that I can come to America through this method to continue my studies. Do you have a better suggestion, of course, except to say to stay and work in your country because it is not possible at all, there is no success here.

    Hello to you dear Wendy!
I am a medical student in the 3rd year (out of 6) currently studying in the Czech Republic (originally from Israel)
Acting had always been a dream of mine and when I arrived to Prague I started taking acting classes, took my headshots, and booked some student films, commercials, and am on theater plays. After I am done with my degree as a med student, I would pursue acting as a carreer.
Been following your clips for quite a while now and I would definitelly join HWC. Only have one concern:
I do not live in the USA nor do I have an american citizenship. You mentioned in the video about the value of networking once you join HWC- Would this value of network remain in case I move to the US in roughly 3 years from now since I am bound to my med school for now?
Should I join HWC now or would it be smarter to join once I plan moving to the US?
Thank you so much- The value that you provide is simply on a different level

hey there listen building an acting career wherever you live, requires being able to build relationships with people in your industry, it requires creating amazing pieces of acting that you can present to people to show them what you’re capable of, it requires getting great training, it requires knowing how to look for acting jobs, it requires, knowing how to reach out to Agency and managers, and all of that needs to be done no matter what city and state that you’re in. All the small roles you can get on your own yes, but, they make sure you have the right training, make sure your getting booked, (if your putting in the work) their the ones who make a name for you because you can't, yes you may get lucky and make a career on your own, but the exception doesn't make the rule. Don't take agents and/or managers lightly, they've done this for so many years, their experts in their own right, it's their job.

Hi there! I recently stumbled upon your channel and I’m excited to become a regular viewer.
I’ve got a question for you. What’s your perspective on the current landscape for white male actors trying to break into Hollywood? It might sound a bit unusual, but I’ve noticed a lack of emerging white male talent in the movies and TV shows I’ve been watching, and they seem to be less in demand compared to more established names. Do you think it’s still a viable path for someone like me to pursue acting in Hollywood, or would it be more strategic to focus on building a personal brand through social media or CZcams first, and then transition into acting?
Sorry for the lengthy question, I know you’re busy, but I’d really value your insight on this. Also, I must say, your on-camera presence is fantastic! Looking forward to more of your industry tips. Thanks and take care!
