Batting second may have advantage but by preparing very dry pitch and then Aussies played smartly by letting India bat first the ball started to grip a lot during the day and batting was difficult. We lost and the main reason was creating a super slow pitch and couldn't win the toss.
The pitch was very tough to score especially in the big stadium but in 2 innings , Pitch was easy to play.

The main reason India lost is because they dont know how to recover when things are going bad within a knockout game's duration. Its a mental thing which has happened in 2015, 2019 and 2023, WTC finals, each having their own team compositions. So whatever team, this is happening!!
Example when Gill got out, Rohit should have used this to change his game style to play long haul cos Aussies were not dominating then. Also from 47/3 Dravid/Rohit saying pitch changed. We have seen how Cummins picks wickets out of nowhere on the flattest of pitches. Thats what our bowlers should have done. If we had lost by 2 wickets I would have been happier. But a total surrender by bowlers has been happening in 2003, 2015, WC T20 Semis, WTC finals etc. This is a repeated pattern where we go wicketless.
