This series is fantastic! I love this alternate version of Serena! I'd rather Misty have a rivalry with Serena since at the moment, Serena is way more knowledgeable than Ash is, so I think this rivalry would be less one-sided. I guess Misty could battle Ash first and have her underestimation of him be corrected so that when she faces Serena, Misty will be more on guard and humble, knowing that Serena is likely more skilled than Ash or at the very least smarter
It would be interesting if she had a rivalry with misty especially since she has a crush on ash too. Since ash just had a battle with samurai. Plus it will be interesting to see how her bulbasur and her pikachu do with the type advantage. (Plus side note I think vulpix would fit very well with Serena’s vibe.)

But whether or not she should win is a good question. Even though she has type advantage, if she loses she'll learn from the experience better than if she wins. But that's just my opinion.

This was a good part 2 Serena catches the Female Pikachu and it has a bit of a Crush on Ash’s mirrors Serena Ash Catched Pidgeotto and I liked that he actually Battles it with Pikachu instead of just Throwing a pokeball at it thanks to Serena’s Coaching and he battled The samurai Ash was going to battle with Pidgeotto but it was Exhorted and Samurai’s mocks him for it which Makes Mankey come to want to battle defend Ash’s Honer and beat Pinsir it good that here Mankey does something instead of just evolving into Primeape through Anger and I liked how you had Samurai’s second Pokemon be Syther instead of Metapod were Mankey loss to it and Ash uses Pikachu which it won thanks to its Static ability and the Samurai has some respect for Ash and their was no Beedrill attack then they arrived at Pewter City learn of the Pokemon league and go to challenge Brock but he is battling Misty who won so they have to Wait until tomorrow to battle him and Misty challenge Serena to battle which Ash does two so their was a Coin Toss and I think Misty should battle Serena and become it main Rival but Misty could also be a bit of a rival to Ash I mean Nando was a rival for both Ash and Dawn and since Serena battles Misty first then Ash can battle Brock first the next day.

I think the most amusing and innovative direction would be for Serena to win, and Misty to butt heads with Serena, who would then have to decide whether to butt back or just roll with it. Given Misty's *canonical* ability indexes, I'd say there's no way with your setup that Serena will lose - since you've already written her up at close to Gary's level, and historically Gary and the two trainers who disappeared wiped the floor with Cerulean Gym, and Ash was on his way to beating her even without his electric rodent (and Ash is a little more competent in this timeline thanks to Serena working him) - plus Misty even got to use the water in that fight, which is not an advantage she'd have here. I really like how this chapter went, BTW.

Ash will make his mark on the type of trainer he is, intrigued by Ash’s tenacity and unusual and unique out of the box battling styles as we know them today. The combination of both battles could essentially bring both Misty and Brock to decide to join them.
I think the story should be ok if Misty was to battle Ash (and win for now until the Cerulean Gym battle or the next time ash and Serena meet Misty) but Misty would be Serena's rival. This could build up to when Serena has a strong team to battle Misty with her best team I trust Mystic has planned to build for her.

I love this series, I love AU stories like this, I love the idea of Serena being Ashs companion since day one. I think Misty should battle Serena Because A) since this story kinda centers on her, I would love to see her get a rivalry with Misty that is similar to Gary and Ash, we don’t need ash to hog all the good rivalries, save some for his GF😘 B) I can image a battle between Serena’s Bulbasaur and Misty’s Staru being really fun. Bulbasaur has the type advantage over staru, staru also knows psybeam, a psychic type move, which are good against poison types like Bulbasaur. I could totally see Serena taking out her Bulbasaur for the type advantage, only for misty to pull a “You FOOL!” and order Staru to use psybeam on it. That would be golden.

Then serina despite seeming more experienced looses to brock this ends up being a reason for brock to travel with them (after the serina rematch which she then wins) brock realises he has alot to learn.
