I binged all 100+ of your sea of thieves videos in four days a few weeks back, while I had pneumonia. I haven't even played SoT since around 2020, but your videos are a cornerstone of a simpler time for me, and mean a lot to me, so this upload was a welcome surprise

welcome back!!! there is a bug in hourglass right now then when you snap the mast then it doesnt show it go down , but it is. You will notice those enemy boats stop when you chain them
its aso good to see you back. i got the game in 2018 because of you and switched platforms and didnt play for years because i was on playstation. but in 2021 i got an xbox for myself and the first thing i did was reinstall and now im huge into the game on an unhealthy level. you had such an influence on this games community in the early days. one of the OGs
I’m gonna be completely honest brad, the bugs in this game are not that bad and these guys did the worst job explaining, for 1 chain shots require 2 hits in order to knock down a fully repaired mast and it is a very small hit box on sloops making it very hard to achieve it to be knocked down at the time there is hitreg for chains but it’s much rarer then people think and most forget masts are a 2 shot, for explaining why your blunder was not 1 shotting some times it is because every single pellet has to hit in order to see a one hit kill on anyone, plus that one fat dude you were asking why he wasn’t dying had some OP food so he was just jugging and wasn’t dying, this game isn’t too bad people just love complaining about games and bugs when they start losing so everything starts to look like shit. Hour glass it self isn’t that bad you just haven’t played in 4+years so it’s makes it way harder understanding everything, and if you don’t like PvP pve is still super fun and there is so much new content to be enjoyed there. Sad you never got to experience the arena it would have been amazing to see more from you on that but that is all I have to say. I’m only writing this because I was been wanting for this upload for 4 years of time
They did have the mast bug in the fight before they ran into us, that wasn't just him missing. The previous fights he didn't hit it enough but that one was just the game being buggy. Also most people complain because they want the game to be better than it currently is (bad servers/reg/bugs etc), not because they don't like any of it.

don't know if you'll see this but here is a good tip for hg sloop. the reason why everyone is able to get angel on you first is because your helm is nosing to begin with. raise your sail about halfway and have your helm turn right so you can get left shot cannons to get priority over the enemy. it does take 2 chains for a mast now or one chain and one cannon. than it just takes practice of cause for the blunder buss honestly gun is buggy af but if you can try and aim in the middle of the pirate and hit all 10 pellets you'll one shot.
also the mast bug is why he couldn’t see the water in there boat but they were creaking also u cant interact w things on boat w mast bug prolly wouldn’t play hourglass for a bit but i know the new voyages are fun

Loved your year one gaming, but sot has had a terrible hg time. Either bull reg or filled with bugs. I would love to see a come back for the man who got me into that early grind in year one. Though this game you have to get very numb to the lag, glitches, cheaters, and developers who are unable to bring their game to a working status. Mad respect and much love ❤️!

Zylbrad returning to the Sea of Thieves right as Season 11 gives us game breaking bugs is phenomenal timing (there’s a visual bug where the enemy mast appears to be up when it’s actually broken hence why it looked like the chains weren’t working), good to see the old legend return though🤝

Unlucky to come back to the game and play PVP Hourglass, right after they introduced a bug that makes Hourglass basically unplayable. Adventure PVP is where it's at right now, been so much fun lately! I hope they fix that bug soon though

When I saw an SoT video pop up on my home page, and then I saw it had way too many views for an SoT video, and I had never heard of the creator before. I knew I was about to be blessed. Immediately subscribed!
Something that may help. Chain shots most of the time deal max damage requires to cripple the mast, wheel, and capstan. However seeing as the sloop only has one mast the chain only does 2 damage to the mast instead of 3
Chains also loose angle faster than a regular cannonball. Aim for the “t” of mast, where the crows nest is. It’s a mugger hitbox and much easier to hit then the pillar of the mast
just for your information, sloops masts take more than one chainshot to knock down now. also currently there is a bug in hourglass where the mast doesn't visually go down but it physically does in the code so they can't move but their mast still looks up.
It saddens me that sot glitches so much that in a maybe 5 hour play session, brad found about 20 different glitches. Brad please don’t leave because of this I promise it can get better
So I actually have that bug in hourglass. I can’t interact with anchors and hitting chains I don’t see the mast go down… like it does, the ship stops (like the last boat you sunk)…. Wild
You need someone to teach you all the new mechanics and your friend doesn’t know them. Or you can figure it out all be yourself. But hourglass is definitely sweaty. But it is the best way to get really good at the game. Also the devs usually fix the worst bugs. But there are definitely a lot of small bugs that stick around. Also a chain shot deals 2/3 damage to a mast. So repairing the mast immediately after it is hit is usually the best play. Because it won’t be knocked down until the next shot.
