      They shouldnt have said anything rude to them, but its true they were boring and dressed badly, and they all have similar look, in the west you need to stand out and draw attention if you want to make waves. Also they dont fit the masculine western standard so nobody really pays attention to feminine boys that look and dress the same and dont even fill out the expensive clothes they wear. Just look like skinny rich kids. Also we all know they are told what to wear and how to look and where to go as a boy group. Basically the subtext is that they have no autonomy. As a man not being able to make your own decisions is looked down upon and not masculine even the paparazzi pick up on it and thats why they got disrespected. It is what it is

      Two of the members are Australian so English is their first language. Only two of the eight members don't speak much English but they do understand what is being said. Five of the members are brand ambassadors so they totally knew what they were doing as far as posing. One of them has even walked the runway at a fashion show that he is the ambassador for. Bang Chan (the leader of the group) got them out of there as soon as he could. The level of disrespect that they revived was appalling. They were far more professional than the paparazzi. If you've never listened to their music you should check them out they are amazing artists.

    I find it weird how so many ppl bring up blk ppl when its about a completely different race. Blk Americans stand up for themselves and other Blk ppl. Ppl get upset and hate on Blk ppl for standing up against their own maltreatment smh. Maybe Asian ppl can try to see what Blk ppl did right? Afr Americans are not afraid to stick their heads out and speak out. The consequences of that is ppl dislike you but respect you. The opposite is they like you but walk all over you. You cant have it both ways as a non-whit grp in the us. You have to either choose to fit in and take the disrespect or speak out and take the brunt of being called aggressive etc.

      East Asian countries are doing well and develop strong economies and militaries.
      You need to learn to pick your wars and not fight over everything. I never mess with black people because I know that they will risk everything to get you. They risk their jobs, career, family, and life....just to fight someone.

    • @jashuasmith9361
      @jashuasmith9361 Před 22 dny

      Always pivot to blacks. Cant do it fast enough. That itself is a cucked argument position. If you’re going to treat these people who are low in social hierarchy, then we should be cut a break. The argument against racist is being done through a ws lens view. Its like saying if you give a black person one scoop of ice cream, so you give me two scoops. How does that argue against the racism that your going through to a person who sees them selves above you? It still validates their views. It doesn’t take you out of the cast pecking order. If you were a person who says it’s OK to be racist against this person, that validates to a racist who sees themselves better than you, to also do it to you. Some people don’t get how the logic to their argument entraps them. Many are just new to this game I guess. Well you better brace your selves for a extreme master class of racism.

Varies races with mixed children a nd white. I had every nasty thing said about me for helping out these families. I was not brought up by my grandmother to be prejudice against others. It opened my eyes to how others were and are still treated from an early age. I do not Condone this behavior. I feel who ever allowed the paparazzi in should also show them the way out. I did see video of some of the treatment of Stray Kids. I would not have done what they wanted either. I think their fans are showing great support to them. I can't say for Asians Americans per say but I've felt that Asian men (especially in china, korea and japan) are always looked down on due to not culturally representing any clear signs of masculinity.
    Let's start with an aesthetical outlook first. Majority asians want to look like boys and avoid facial hair. More recently (especially with Koreans), we are wearing lipgloss and make-up. And I'm not talking about just celebrities.
    How about how they carry themselves? Well, for one, being a samaritan or even self defense isn't a thing in asian countries. I know Japan doesn't even have solid self defense laws and you can be arrested for hurting the person who attacked you.
    I can go on and on but the point is that a lot of asian cultures doesn't have those attributes that a lot of westerners would consider strong, protector, aggressive, intimidating or anything that would be seen as masculine. So when asians comes off as passive, of course, the bully known as America is going to look down on them, and I don't think any cyber attacks are going to fix that.

    Thank you guys for your analysis and views. I think at any celebrity event with mix cultures should all be treated with respect to have gotten where they are at was no simple task. The photo journalist disrespected Stray Kids more but they also did it with other celebrities just not as much. I am not sure if it was because they are from NY or in that region were it is more prominent to disrespect minorities or if they are just a bunch of idiots. Hard to tell. First G-Dragon and Big Bang opened the door for Korean music to enter the western audience, then BTS paved the road, and I feel Stray Kids, and BlackPink are helping to insert k-pop music more and reach a broader western audience. This is a start and it may take a while longer for the western audience to drop their prejudices with Asian's but it will happen. It wont be overnight, but I am a 60yr old mother and my grown sons and husband don't care for Korean music. they aren't racist but they have a block form listening to it. But my grand daughters all love it and it is that generation that will help induct global Asian music in America. At least I hope that will happen. It is sad to see the kids be disrespected but i know form the past that Bang Chan would not have wanted any one to do anything bad to these idiots for their sake. They can handle anything that is thrown at them and 2 wrongs don't make it right. America was founded on diversity even though idiots forget that but we also take pride in being able to have your on opinion. What they did is wrong and Karma would eventually bit them in the A**. I wish the fans would have not lashed out to them. That was in its self illegal to hack into someones accounts just because you don't like what they said to your favorite group. I LOVE STRAYKIDS. THEY DIDN'T SHOW ANY EMOTIONS ON THEIR FACE AT ALL. I BELIEVE THE PAPARAZZI WAS TRYING TO LOSEN THEM UP TO GET GOOD PICTURES. SOME OF THE THINGS THEY SAID WAS UNCALLED FOR. I DON'T GO LEAVING NASTY COMMENTS ABOUT WHAT ANYONE SAYS. LOOK AT BRITNEY SPEARS, I'M HER BIGGEST FAN!! LOOK AT WHAT THE PAPARAZZI DID TO BRITNEY!!! NO ONE IS UNTOUCHABLE FROM THE PAPARAZZI!!

      Eum, it's the Met Gala, almost no one is smiling in these paparazzi pictures. It's called the model face for a reason.
      I was there during the whole live, they didn't say that to other celebrities. Instead of yelling nonsense on a comment you better learn to see when people are disrespectful and balantly racist (because why would you laugh about getting COVID or laughing your ass off that people will search for 2 different groups just because of the reveal outfit implying that people won't recognize them on the photos with their coats and without, if you're not racist ?).

    One of the things I appreciate about Asian culture or at least Chinese culture is there's no word for corny in their language. This is way more cool (for lack of a better word lol) than the West's culture of dividing and othering people. It's more enlightened imo. Only boring people get bored..

    The problem is our population is very small in most Western countries. If you don't want to live with it then a better option is to live in the Far East. If you live in the West, you will deal with this for the rest of your life, and there isn't anything you can do about it.

      Just FYI and maybe it'll give you a ray of hope Asians generally treat Asian Americans like they're new and interesting, ABCS might as well be hoppas. At least when I was I kid I was bitterly envious and also in resentful awe of ABCs with their high quality toys and great English and white boy (somehow) confidence. It's usually someone's cousin. But before you move keep in mind that every population has its own struggle no matter where you go, for me it was frustration at a dysfunctional government and lower standard of living (everything is just slightly nicer here).

      The "ive never seen so many unemotional faces in My life" comment from the paparazzi is an example of the hypocrisy considering that since the 80's there have been soooo many artists and musicians who are known for either having a neutral or bored face or even mean mugging the paparazzi and the media seemed to always love it.
      Rock bands and old school rappers and even artists like "prince" and even high fashion models being some examples smh 🤷🏾‍♀️
