I stopped buying dvd's (only now and then) because we've got so many now and that's why I'm so glad with CZcams, no more space taken up by more lp's, cd's, and dvd's since YT & the internet. But I keep on reading books and still listen to music through cd, lp, dvd, etc. PS: I wanted to say this to give YT (and the dvd) a big thumb, on dvd I saw certain artists, bands, and films for the first time in my life, and in very beautiful remastered shape. I always listened to and read about them and saw photos in magazines or on album covers but I never saw them for real. But thanks to the dvd and later on the internet I saw and listened to many of the bands, writers, artists, and art that I love...!

@@patrickperalta59 Yes! She and many others went to the beach to watch them film. Willacy, Cameron, Hidalgo and Starr counties are considered the Rio Grand Valley. All those towns are small, so this movie was something big to them.
While there, one of the crew members noticed my mom in the crowd and then moments later, was asked if she would like to be an extra for that scene. She was paid $25! 🤣
It wasn’t until months later when she joined the Army that, after she had a free weekend in AIT, that some of her fellow enlisted members came up to her and said that they were positive it was her! She didn’t even know her scene had made it in!

Remember what Taylor said, to pull in close so they go down together, this was an embarrassment to the navy, and kept it secret, they cleaned everything up with scuba gear they had back then.

Best "plausible" cause I've ever heard of was the guy who suggested that Large Hydrogen deposits under the Ocean in that area would from time to time have large releases which made both the Water and Air about 1/3 their normal density causing ships to sink and planes to fall into the thinner water and sink as well. No one would be able to swim or float if this happened and the 21% Oxygen and 78% Nitrogen in the Air would have been reduced as well causing respiratory issues. "My" issue with the "Hydrogen" theory is that there were not any noted large Marine Life die offs during these incidents. Which means that your Giant Octopus Theory is just as Plausible. 😁

It is still a area of weird unexplained disappeareances. Wion news network reported a yacht of around 20 people vanished from lower florida area to around upper Florida region. No yacht, no survivors. Eighteen thousand miles checked by Coast Guard ships and planes. Totally baffling to say the least! We as people are still discovering things that science do not always have the answers to. The Triangle area is 350 thousand square miles! Electromagnetic interference, radio communication can be tricky, severe weather can suddenly turn up on you. Definitely scary even with advances in technology and science.

I read the book and enjoyed the movie. It should be pointed out that nowhere in the book does it mention anyone being murdered. That part I feel was added for dramatic license and it hurt the credibility of the movie.

Fortunately for them the cheap hazy film stock used in this "documentary'' prevented any identification . True story.
