I have watched a few of these reaction videos about this song. Thank you very much. It is thought provoking. Why did she leave home? The answer is in the last chorus. Fun is the one thing that money can't buy. Speaking for myself, my parents survived the great depression of the 1930's. My father survived the Battle of the Coral Sea during World War Two. They were kind Christian hearted people and I thank them for that. But they never knew me. They worked hard to accomplish much. But, they didn't know how to have fun.
Perhaps one of the best songs of our time.

I was astonished, I will admit. The imagery and the song fit like a hand in a glove. I particularly liked the young girl's gaze at the finale. Warmest praise to the creators of this conceptual video.

One of the best songs Paul and John had written a real masterpiece, they discibe the problems between the younger generation and the oder generation. The Conflict was the younger generarion was not to get locked into the old system like before...free yourself and look Radio Revolution the best film ever if you want to know a little about the 60´s
