Whatâs new the SEC has always treated us poorly. Even when Ole Miss deserves the hype
Ole Miss just needs to win with early time slots there will plenty of highlights to showcase during prime or night games.
Good point.
It's also restricting Ole Miss national exposure which fuels recuirment, unfortunately with current SEC commisoner Ole Miss will have more opponents than the ones on the field; remember Bama at Oxford 2022 with SEC commisoner goon refs? Going to be more of that
Definitely always an issue with the referees. Don't care what anyone says at some point the evidence needs to be presented in a lawsuit.
If the time of game dictates wins then we ainât there. Letâs win the SEC then we can dictate game times. Past predicts future. Just win baby!
Something that gets lost in this as well that most non ole miss fans donât even comprehend is how much of our fanbase commutes on gamedays from the coast, which in many cases is several hours of driving, 11 am kick offs are a killer for that section of our fan base
It is just a horrible look by the conference
4 and a half hour drive from south ms for me đ
Really bad by the SEC. Watch SEC After Dark
The SEC does not dictate kickoff times. The networks paying billions of dollars do. I do not know why people are upset at the SEC and/or Sankey. Perfect example of this is the Eggbowl. It was not moved from Thurs to Friday by the SEC. The networks requested it, and made a tradeoff with Ole Miss for doing so.
The Captain gets fired when a ship runs aground whether he was driving or not because as Mike Leach used to say You are either coaching it or allowing it to happen
Apparently there is a lot of negotiated horse trading for these schedules between the SEC and networks, which have the upper hand. I think the networks consider fanbase/population issues in trying to get the most viewership, and we are at a disadvantage there. So I don't believe the SEC should shoulder most of the blame (but I'm not disagreeing with the general disrespect issue). Logically, I'm glad the first 4 games are mostly late away from the heat. I actually like LSU at night to beat them at their best and most ballyhooed "Death Valley" setting. The other away SEC games are early, which is good. State game is primetime good. Most likely Georgia will be later. So really, seems to me the major gripe is Kentucky and Oklahoma, and if Oklahoma is just not the 11a.m. game, it's not so bad.
Could it be that ESPN determines the times ! This is Bull Shit regardless !
They do but the SEC is involved...Ole Miss got Florida at 11 so ABC could get the Egg Bowl on Friday. It isn't as cut and dry as the SEC has no say.
It's ABC but yes, it's the network that sets the times, not the league
But it isn't a dictate situation...For Instance Ole Miss was able to negotiate with ABC because ABC wanted the Egg Bowl on Friday. There is wiggle room. Big Teams get their way and smaller schools get passed over.
This is absolute BULLSHIT.
Guys i know whats coming ... well you are a State fan, go and win 3 games this year. But why is Ole Miss disrespected ? Big mouth from your HC Lane Kiffin, who never won any big game in his life and got blown out by 5 TDÂŽs against UGA. Do you really believe Ole Miss strikes fear into a Bama, UGA or Texas ? They have more 5 stars sitting on the bench as you had in the past decade combined. As long as you dont win against a real big boy you always be disrespected. And i dont talk about Penn State without any starter or Indiana or LSU. I talk about Title contenders. Ole Miss has not the depth to make a run for a Natty. Thats aint gonna happen. May sound weird but wish you luck ! The schedule is as week as it gets and you should easy win 11 games if you wanna compete. Lets see.
You may have a Locked on Mississippi State soon and we will have fun
@svenkreuzberg2274 poor lil insufferable whimpering pup, doesn't have shit to talk about with his own team because they r gonna be an absolute train wreck this season, he comes on a OM show comment section to talk a bunch of bs, that u obviously know nothing about, stay in ur lane lil bro, the only thing u should be worried about is the fact that egg is gonna stay where it belongs with us yet again this year.
Georgia and LSU are going to be primetime games everybody knows LSU and Georgia will beat ole miss which is why Oklahoma isnât a big drawđ
Well, I'm part of "everybody", and I don't "know" the BS that LSU and Georgia will beat Ole Miss. In fact, the strong indicators by people who actually know football are that Ole Miss will probably beat LSU and possibly beat Georgia. Don't lose your ranchđ€
