A lot of people are saying why are kids going to Miami? That is the same question they asked back in the days and we won five championships and filled with NFL HOFs for it. Miami is a FOOTBALL CITY! Filled with elite talent in just that county alone. Keep going! go canes!
Every season we have to listen to "Da U is back" despite UM being irrelevant in CFB for the past 20 years. You still haven't won an ACC Championship (FSU has 16 of them).
Having a lot of talent doesn't mean jack if nobody sees it on the field.
Mario is a great recruiter but he sucks as a game coach and nobody was happier to see him go than the fans in Eugene.
Miami has been preseason AP ranked 5 times since 2006...first time since 2017 they return both coordinators in the same roles
As an old 60 year Nole fan , I have learned respect for Miami. Every dog has his day , the Canes will break out. Florida, is the college football recruiting Meka . South Florida has remarkable high school players.

I hope Florida wins that first game. Because they are going to suck anyway for the rest of their schedule and in typical Miami fashion if they lose they'll probably fall apart at the very beginning of the season. I would not be surprised if they lost you FAMU the next game if they lose to Florida.

The problem isn't the talent. Maro is one of the best Recruiters in the country. The problem is he just isn't a good Game Day coach. If he doesn't overwhelm you with talent the game could go either way.
When Oregon when into Columbus and beat OSU handily, they were not the more talented team..Mario is in year 3, he did not take over a great roster..look at the draft classes

The GT game was the worst call I’ve ever seen. Can’t beat Middle Tennessee St. Lost to Rutgers. I guess they had more talent too? This is yr 3. No more excuses. He’s Top 3 Recruiter. He needs to proves he’s a Top Tier HC or it won’t matter.
@@Mike-yj5yw I’d argue, yes, Rutgers was easily the better team. Given how many of our guys were out. Go back and look at that 2022 team..the mass exodus of guys who left..where are they now..compared to what Mario has brought in the last 15 months..this team is completely different physically, athletically then what Mario inherited..the year over year improvement was clear. And now we upgraded. last year you had a sr qb play like ass in a 4 game stretch..it’s definitely a prove it year this season…I knew this would be a rebuild. All the our core best players are Mario guys now.

Great information today! I appreciate the fact that your guys spoke about the "elephant in the room," which was Tyler Van Dyke. Tyler costed this team 2-3 games last year. He was the biggest problem. Now that they actually have a play maker at QB position it'll be interesting to see how this team responds to him. All reports out of Coral Gables is that Cam Ward is the real deal and the players love him. When you have that kind of chemistry and your team believing in you that is a recipe for greatness. I just don't see this team losing more than 1-2 games. I'm betting that they will get 10 wins this upcoming season. 12-0 is possible during the regular season given the schedule and the amount of talent they have on paper.
How can you tell since your bak half stinks? I watched your Spring game and the only passes that Cam had longer than 15 yards were 10-yard outs with 20+ YACS.
What mario is against though is ... good coaching ......taking a knee....just overall basic football concepts 😅

If ward goes in and throws 3 picks and we lose by 14, there will 100% be a meltdown. UF doesnt have that luxury. Thank you for your honesty! I'm a Miami fan. If Miami beats Florida(I think we do), I have Miami going 10-2 FLOOR. My argument to any naysayers is Tyler Van Dyke produced 7 wins. (Should be 8 with the kneel blunder) TVD threw 11 interceptions over a 5 game span I believe. Hard to win games doing that by losing the turnover margin! So if that's the case, you're telling me Cam Ward isn't 2 wins better than TVD? Get out of here. Lol. The only question mark i have is the secondary. Db's and safety position. Every single other position, IMO, we are very damn good at. D Line being the best. I'm hoping Mark Fletcher comes back 100% healthy for this season. If so, that is a nasty RB room.

We have the best AND deepest secondary in the country, our Dline will likely be even better in 2024 than they were in 23, we have 4 RBs that would start for almost any team in the country, our WR group is among the fastest in the nation, our Oline is the deepest & 2nd most veteran in all of CFB, our TE group is packed with multiple 6’5+ guys, & our QB is 6’5 220lbs. Our ACTUAL (meaning players on our roster, not Bud Elliot’s bogus “even though 5 of Bama’s & 2 of UGA’s BC players are wearing FSU uniforms I decided to count them for Alabama & UGA’s BC ratio instead” formula) Bluechip rate is through the roof.
@@seminoldschool7032 I will grant the defense is good. The returning RB is solid. No one else has any level of proven production. It seems your assuming these guys are going to perform at the expected level and claiming loaded. I think DJU is a major weak point for the offense. Eventually he’s going to have to make a play. Surprisingly fsu fans don’t seem to understand just how special JT was and how much he bailed you guys out. DJ has not made those sort of plays throughout his career. Had he, he would have never been pushed out of Clemson. Suppose time will tell. Can’t wait for the season to start.

You don’t watch off season them Miami has had 2 top 10 recruiting classes the past 2 years a heisman contender qb a elite oline loaded rbs and maybe the best back in football with Martinez, top 5 transfer wr from Houston with the loaded ones from last year, monster dline with the best edge rusher from Tennessee whose first round and the 300lb from Michigan state along with Rueben Bain freshman all American monster last year, they went got another good lb this year alderman and the starting corner from Marshall and Washington along with Porter whose back this team is loaded now what Mario do something else

That play intimately cost Miami that game. However, no matter how you count that play stat wise it perfectly illustrated my point. Your head coach cost you that game
