how cool is that then! The Chords!! Thanks for that great blast from the past. They were my fave band back in the 80's. Listening to them now makes me understand why, THEY ARE JUST FANTASTIC!!! So many bands today try to copy what they mastered back in the 80's, but will never get even close to what they did.

The Chords did reform briefly, was too young first time round but was lucky enough to see them play at the IOW (when it was still a Mod rally) in the 90's, well worth the 12 hour scooter ride from Scotland.

the chords,they were the band for me in my mod days,brilliant.them and the purple hearts were the best from the mod scene, other fav bands from period were long tall shorty,small hours,the fixations.

WoW! Interesting to see this turn up! I followed this band in the 80's they were really something live.The split weren't their fault Polydor pulled the rug from under them to concentrate on The Jam. I know it gutted the band. Buddy & Chris are still upto something today though!

Chris Pope & Brett Ascott are now Pope & currently working on their 2nd album. Mick Talbot joined them in the studios. Pope often slip in the odd Chords track live. I uploaded a few Pope vids (click on my name) also quite a few From The Jam live tracks I've recorded too. While we're on the subject of the 79 revival - Secret Affair are back together & tickets are onsale for The Astoria 2 in September & Purple Hearts - Simon and Gary are now in RT3 - tracks from them are in my videos too!

These mod revival groups were all 4th-rate Jam copy-cats who were 1st-rate Who/Small Faces copy-cats. Too much copy-catting for me.
I truly doubt that you have a "far wider taste and collection of music". The only thing I know for sure is you are a punter...that is all.
