@AkshatZayn, I purchased some HDFC stock tdy, just 1 hour after the purchase RBI comes out and recommends no cutting of Interest rates(5/6 votes).

Finally thanks for the update! I'm trying to hold a million dollars worth of AMS48K . Oddly enough it's a sleeper for some weird reason that not many CZcamsrs talk about in regards to lnvesting. It has had steady growth since its release.

Neither I have slowed down my buying nor I intend to do so. In fact it is continuing with the same pace as in the past. Ofcourse, buying is very specific. But the selling has increased and its pace is increasing with every passing day. It is golden period of my investment life.

If the debt portion (Rs. 80) is able to earn Rs.20 interest, then it is investing almost at the rate of 12% p.a. and I don't think any institution having a credit rating of AA & Above will pay that much interest rate. So most probably it will invest in bonds of A and below rated ones.
Instead of taking that much risk in a debt portfolio, it's better to invest in some AA or AAA rated bonds and rest in equity.
The stocks that is being talked about here has already gotten to everyones eyes. The hidden stocks are the ones that run to 20X 100X which we get to know only after the run. Look at KPI Green Energy, what a brilliant ride with great fundamentals. Look at Sealmatic India which is growing out to be the next big thing maybe return 10X in next 3 years. These stocks are new but still with a lot of visibility over the business and frequent updates.

Investing in stock is like running a business. Where you invest money and also there is a risk of losing and gaining money based on the business. It needs knowledge to invest in right business. Its not blind money as interest on bank deposits. I hope you understood the point.

But RBI has announced that there will be no rate cuts as of now and in today’s press conference governor ensured the same. Also, Powell has said there might not be any rate cuts in near future thus the sentiments of rate cuts have gone down to approx 15%

HDFC Bank - I know, it has been beaten to death that HDFC is a good stock. Point well noted. But recently, some changes have happened. LIC took 10% stake in HDFC Bank. And HDFC Bank took 10% stake each in half a dozen banks - Axis, Suryoday Small Finance, ICICI, Bandhan, IndusInd, and Yes Bank. What does all this mean in the longer run? I know nothing changes immediately as RBI has given them 1 year to execute all this. But what is HDFC Bank's strategy? Why is it doing all this? Is it good or is it bad?

It's due to provisioning, and Sebi's rule change around it. Several things have hit HDFC Bank simultaneously, so it will suffer in the short term. Merger has led to NIM drop, provisioning rule changes have made HDFC bank to invest anywhere except where HDFC AMC has invested money (or any of HDFC bank's subsidiary has invested), so it's a challenge to divert such huge amount of money. These changes will hurt all such companies, but HDFC is too big. But once all this is figured out, HDFC Bank is gonna fly like a rocket!
It is not HDFC bank but HDFC group. Their AMC and Insurance arms would buy. It has not already bought. They just took permission from RBI
What is your opinion on UPL. Negative sentinents around the industry and re stocking is almost done once the idustry turns around there should be a 30-50% gain in the next 2-3 years

There are 4k+ stocks in the market. Koi Kami nahi hain choice mein. Something doesnt come at decent valuations dont buy , theres no need to attend every party in town. Find right stocks at right orices it will give you the best chance
Arguments against City Union Bank:
1. Topline growth is in single digits for last 3 years.
2. No guidance or outlook on if topline growth will increase drastically
3. Peers giving much better topline growth

How about Federal bank instead of City Union bank or IDFC First bank? I've already upward averaged it, but I would like to see your fundamental analysis on the bank. My analysis: It seems to have a differentiated strategy of being the fastest one to tie up with fintechs (Rupeek, more recently IndMoney, for e.g.) and might double it's business every 4 years. AND it seems to be at lower valuation.
I prefer and hold AXIS, FEDERAL & RBL, all are in profit, *touchwood

City Union BANK peak price is 240 before covid, on covid fall it fell to 120 right now the price is reaching to 120 levels but the market rallied after the covid fall but cub not hitted the ATH its still trading in covid level why this happened.
I think sometime things don't work. May be some other reasons because sales and profit are increasing consistently
