    That disk probably survived intact for thousands of years until the electrical engineers smashed through it!

      1: The Aztec empire was founded about 800 years ago. 2: The Aztecs were the ones to break and bury the disc as part of the ceremony of the new fire they celebrated every 52 years when they literally burned and destroyed everything they owned to begin anew and built on top of the old universe. So no, the electricians literally made an incredible discovery and you should get some education before making dumb opinions.

      The Spanish conquistadors destroyed Tenochtitlan, buried it and then built on top of it.

    • @asaremperor
      @asaremperor Před 9 měsíci

      The Aztecs had a ritual called the new fire celebrated every 52 years in which they burned and destroyed everything they owned in order for the universe to die and be reborn. This includes also temples and statues. The statues were broken or pierced in order for them to be killed and then they build on top of the old structures. That disc was already dead by the time the Spanish arrived and it literally survived to this day because the Spanish were not aware of the "universes" laying under their feet.

      Really?
      Are you so racist that you are willing to lie about the Aztecs, hoping that I won't know any better? Or are you simply ignorant about the Aztecs? The Aztecs killed tens of thousands of Native Americans as human sacrifices? The Aztecs habitually put living humans on a stone altar, held them down, and a priest used an obsidian knife to cut into their chest and remove their still beating heart. Then they kicked the body down the temple steps where they piled up as a warning to every tribe who might resist them.
      Since their victims were taken from their neighboring tribes, it's not hard to understand why those other tribes hated the Aztecs so much that they sided with the Conquistadors to wipe out the Aztecs. The Conquistadors didn't have a chance at conquering the Aztecs if other tribes had not joined them in the fight.
      You need to study history. Do not let your racial bias lead you to believe that Native Americans were unique among humans. They warred against each other, for slaves, and land, just like every other group on the planet. Some were not quite as bad, and some, like the Aztecs, were significantly worse.

    • @adoramay9410
      @adoramay9410 Před rokem +20

      It really doesn’t, the effects of the Conquista was long lasting and had further reaching consequences than anything the Mexica did. In no way am I saying that they were completely innocent. But human sacrifice is not worse than cultural and physical genocide.

      The Aztecs had to go, there was no alternative. Cancer has to be eradicated. But what the Spanish did after that was uncalled for evil, and the Spanish have suffered for it. They became the wealthiest country in the world for a while, and as they misbehaved and continued to act foolishly, they lost it all and went back to being one of the poorest countries in Europe. More civil handling of the American colonies would have brought them long term wealth, but they killed the golden goose.

      @@deezynar 🤮🤮 Holy shit, this might be the most horrible, morally bankrupt thing I have ever read. Calling a group of humans a cancer is disgusting and racist af. You are aware that type of thinking was the same thinking that was used to justify the holocaust, right? Also, they are the Mexica and haven’t gone anywhere, as much as the Spanish tried, they survived. If you are going to drag their names into the mud you can at least call them by their actual name.

  • @asaremperor

    WTF!? Tenochtitlán was NOT a floating city! The mexicahs built new land in the lake using a technique called chinampa which is four stakes inserted in the lakebed which then got dirt poured in between them until the pile rosed above the lake surface. This is pretty much the same way the palm island was built in Dubai. Also, why you can't even pronounce Coyolxauhqui properly?
