    HI Luke.
I've had this Camera for about 2 years now and absolutely love it. Even better... that after sales service is great, Eddie is quick to reply to emails and when I fried my Camera 😭 with a power surge Eddie got me to send it back to them and they fixed it for about £40 incl. postage and kept me informed of the progress the whole time. Very happy.

I always thought that if sensor is IMX571, then camera manufacturers don’t matter.
I changed my opinion in this regard. Ended up with cameras from QHY (professional grade) and Moravian, and have no regrets. No tilt, no vibration, no light lick (yes, it matters in city with houses around), stability (due to bolting filter wheels) and better dynamic range (this is unexpected).

I got the same camera from OGMA with a tilt adjuster. I called a few camera sellers before chosing a brand and they were the only ones that picked up the phone. Really nice folks with great reviews at CN.

I got the Altair Astro version, the Hypercam 26C, last year. I believe they're exactly the same cameras aside for the shape and colour of the housing. It also behaves exactly the same in N.I.N.A as what was shown here in the video. At £999 (international price w/o VAT) + my country's 22% VAT at import time, it came out to just over 1400€, a crazy price compared to any other IMX571 model you can get in Europe. It replaced the ASI 533MC Pro that I started with and it's been an amazing upgrade, the improved FOV of the larger sensor gives so much more flexibility.

Shame about the lack of a tilt adapter but I think Altair cameras which I believe are made at the same company will be having built in tilt adapters fitted, so hoping it will go across the whole of the Touptek range. My only niggle is that I wish more UK vendors would sell these so should anything go wrong it can be repaired or replaced & give us more choice rather than ZWO. If you use it with your RASA some tape over the LED's would help with any odd reflections to as I've had them using mine.
However in saying that the 26C is a great performer so I'm betting the Touptek will perform very well to, have fun with it & clear skies!!! (I hope!!!)

    Hi Luke,
Looks like a great camera. I am looking at their IMX 410 color sensor and am trying to reach a deal with them but their New Year celebration (Year of the Dragon) put things on hold. Another piece of kit I'm considering! I know you won't have even had chance to test the 120apo yet but was wondering if a direct comparison between Askar 103 triplet and RVO's 102 Horizon Doublet might be possible in the future. Askar glass may be lower 'quality' but it's a triplet. Does it result in a significant difference?

I got a Touptek planetary/guide camera which came with the same overly thick USB 3.0 cable. The weight and stiffness of this is enough to mess up guiding or possibly twist on the camera socket. They may as well not even include this as few will use it. See you switched to a ribbon cable during your power test :). I'd be interested in seeing some darks from this cam to see how the amp glow of the circuitry holds up.

If nothing else cameras like this are making the likes of ZWO sharpen their pencil a bit to compete on price (the ASI2600MC looks to be similarly priced once you factor in duty and vat on the Touptek) which is a win for everyone. Luke, you should probably review some of your videos to see what I'm talking about, but your lighting setup creates a potentially awkward situation where the shadow of your nose looks like an unfortunate style of mustache. I'm not a lighting expert so I can't recommend anything specific, but you may want to reconsider the position of the light directly above your head. 😬
