  • We all know that our bodies contain arteries and veins. The arteries are responsible for carrying the blood from our heart to different parts of the body while the veins carry blood back into the heart. So, arteries carry more oxygen in them and therefore have oxygenated blood. And the veins have lost their oxygen to the cells that need them, so they have deoxygenated blood in them.
So, is the deoxygenated blood in veins blue in color?
Watch the video to know why veins carrying red blood appear blue in color.
