What is Roughage? Why is it important for our body | Cure constipation naturally Class5Class6Class 7
Today, we’re diving into an interesting question: Why is roughage, or dietary fiber, essential in our diet even though it has no nutritional value?
Roughage is found in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes.
While it doesn’t provide nutrients like vitamins or minerals, it plays a crucial role in our digestive health. Roughage adds bulk to our stool, helps food move through our intestines, prevents constipation, and keeps our bowels regular. It also helps us feel full and can even help prevent certain diseases.
Make sure to eat plenty of fiber-rich foods to keep your digestive system happy and healthy.

Please tell me the process of osmosis in living cells
Osmosis is a process of movement of solvents through a semi-permeable membrane from a region of lower solute concentration to higher solute concentration. In case of plants, the plants absorb water from the soil through their roots. The root hairs absorb the bulk of the water. These root hairs act as a semipermeable barrier, allowing water molecules (solvent) to move from a high concentration (soil) to a low concentration (groundwater) (roots). In the human body osmosis regulates the flow of dissolved solids, liquids, and gases across the semipermeable membrane of cells that selectively allows certain substances to pass in and out of the cell, This also assists in releasing toxic metabolic waste products such as urea.

When we run, our body needs oxygen for respiration. Also, when we are running we are actually producing Carbon Dioxide. If there is a lot of Carbon Dioxide in our blood stream, the Aorta and the carotid Artery will detect this and send this information to the Medulla. The Medulla will realize that there is so much CO2 in our blood and will send impulses down the accelerator nerve, this increases our heart rate and this leads to oxygen being produced to our cells to get rid of the extra CO2 in our body. HOWEVER, if the Aorta and Carotid Artery detect low amount of CO2 in our blood, the Medulla will send impulses down the decelerator nerve which slows down the Heart Rate.
Thank you so much for explaining this process so beautifully and clearly. It is heartening to hear and gain knowledge from people like you who not only know the Science behind it, but also can explain it so beautifully. Would love to hear from you on our other videos as well. Thanks.

can we use a regular thermometer, instead of a laboratory thermometer?
Yes, you can use a clinical thermometer too as we just need to record the temperature and the water will just be warm enough to be recorded in the thermometer. The only difference is that when you use this thermometer you will have to shake the thermometer to bring the mercury down before putting it into the next glass (since this thermometer has a kink which maintains the temperature of the water in the glass even when you take it out of the glass). In a Lab thermometer this becomes easy as it has no kink and hence the temperature immediately comes to room temperature, as soon as we take it out of the glass

Yes, can understand that your heartbeat must have gone very fast. The heart rate typically rises during exercise or as a response to stress, but soon normalizes after we take a break and rest.
