I've always felt Marat was the one tennis player I'd like to know. I've thought of him as an intellectual who didn't feel able to give himself totally to tennis. This interview confirms that feeling. He was a great player and a pleasure to watch. As he said he 'moved on'. I hope he is happy. But I think he is still searching for that elusive something. May he find it.
Marat is the kind of friend that always has a different point of view of everything. Different theories. Obviously that kind of friend you ought to listen to.
This was insightful. Marat peaked too early when he didn’t have the emotional maturity yet. It’s quite unfortunate because if he had the right people around him and the knowledge we have now about injuries and recovery time, he would’ve been closer to reaching his full potential. Hope he can now achieve what his heart desires.
Nah, he's just that type of person. He would always lose drive and interest in tennis when he would reach the top and have enough money to pursue the lifestyle he wants and other goals in life
Marat is amazing... natural, honest, smart und great sense of humor! The one and only❤
Marsat is the most goodlooking man in the world!

He made money in a early age which he never had growing up so it was that the passion of being a top player faded away.
