Is Stephen Curry a top 10 player of all time?
Yes sir...he is
Yes
for sure
Definitely! He confirmed it this year.
Top 7
Man I remember watching game 4 of the 2022 finals and He was all over the place, I felt goosebumps watching him drop 3's over 3's again and again and driving in the basket when having all the attention on him in the defense. Man was certified Top 10 all time Great at my head in that point in time. Just greatness.
Generally speaking, people seem unwilling to give Steph the credit he deserves. Not just for being perhaps the greatest player to ever touch a basketball, but also for his influence on the game, and his humility and selflessness. The reason the Warriors have been able to build a dynasty is because he's a superstar who doesn't need the spotlight. He works his ass off, which means everyone else on the team has no excuse not to. If the best guy on your team is in the gym after hours getting up shots, the 15th guy on the roster is going to work his ass off. It's why they were able to rehab Andrew Wiggins' career. It's why Jordan Poole was able to develop into an all-star level talent. And its why, no matter the pieces that have surrounded him, the Warriors have been able to win.
For some reason, the world and media at large have built narratives that have no basis in fact when it comes to Steph and the Dubs. "Steph's not a playoff performer" or "Steph's a front-runner"-absolute nonsense. He's always been a solid (exceptional) post-season player except for a few games here and there. And everyone-even superstars-have bad games. Hell, King James himself looked awful in his first finals appearance.
With this in mind, I want to correct something you said-the Grizzlies didn't lose because Ja Morant went down. The Grizz, in fact, matched up better with the Dubs after Ja went down because Ja was a liability on defense. If you watch the games after Ja went down, it's obvious with just the eye test that the Warriors were having a harder time. But you can back this up with numbers: The Grizz played better during the regular season in a 27 game stretch without Ja, going 21-6 (theathletic.com/3309223/2022/05/13/the-grizzlies-keep-winning-without-ja-morant-whats-going-on/).
Also, really messed up of you to show that picture of Jordan Poole with his hand on Ja's knee-implying that Jordan's defensive play hurt him. If you watch the video of that moment, Jordan lightly touched his knee while reaching for the ball (czcams.com/video/0BegbbyqgKA/video.html). Ja actually *hurt himself* jumping at (and fouling) Klay on a 3 point attempt earlier in the game. Ja himself tried to perpetuate this ridiculous story about Jordan hurting him right after the game, only to delete the tweet shortly after. Really a bad look for Ja and something that really messed with his "good guy" image.
In general, I really liked this overview of Steph's career. Fair, balanced, and did a good job covering the meta-story of why the Dubs couldn't get the respect they deserved. At least, that was true right up until those few comments and images related to the Memphis series. This kind of lazy coverage and innuendo leads to the false narratives that prevented the Dubs and Steph from getting the respect they deserved in the first place.
Oh don’t get me wrong, I 100% believe Golden State defeats Memphis with/without Ja, and I’m well aware of Memphis’s success without him, just added that in because I believe it’s noteworthy when a star gets hurt. Glad you enjoyed this video though, much appreciated.
King James who?
I agree with your comment about Poole
He did not hurt Ja.
JA was outbid gas and he had come down hard a few plays earlier
That’s what did it
He was just trying to tag a good player with the blame cause Brooke’s was suspended for a dirty play on GPII
Well said.
I think I'm obsessed with Curry's 3pt shots and that swoosh sound it makes when the ball gets into the ring. So satisfying.
What he’s done to basketball will never be undone! He’s not liked well enough to get his credit from all of the sports world. Players are tall for nothing if your game is not all around. He has sent big men to the bench and out of the league. Game changer!!
Cherish the moments while he's still playing. We've never seen someone do this before, he changed the game, and we will never see a player like him ever again. He's the reason why kids that play basketball, including me, practice their shots, shooting form and their deep range shots, he's the reason for all of that. If only I can meet him and say thank you for everything he has done, because of him I became a great player and a great shooter too lol. If he retires, i'll be sad and everytime I play basketball, for sure I will always remember him. He's the reason I love basketball, and that made me who I am today. Lucky to witness steph's greatness growing up.
Well done. This is one of my favorite videos highlighting the magnificence of Steph and the Warriors. Thank you.
Being a lifelong fan who made it through the Miuli and Cohan years, endless last places, the frustration of Run TMC, and horrible coaches like Carlissimo, Sleepy Floyd and Dereck Fisher nightmares; these years have been endlessly satisfying. Special thanks to Jerry West for his invaluable early input. Steph was huge in changing a losing franchise's culture completely. Great video, thanks.
Feb.27, 2016 game made me an instant fan of Stephen Curry and eventually of GSW (1st NBA game I saw in my life) ❤️
Same here! Been watching Steph for basically his entire career but I became a fan of his that night. They, specifically he, were just too good.
Top 10,9,8,7,6.....There's no one l would take to run a team before Steph not MJ not Bird not Shaq, think about it here's the kind of guy that will make another team mate great because of his inspiration and help he's happy to give. Don't get me started Stef is off the charts and beyond and he will keep improving because that's what he does so from the owners to the fans there's not one that would trade Steph for anyone who has ever played the game and that makes Steph Curry Numero Uno the goat the best number one

Love the video! Very well made and very informative! Just a little constructive criticism: the background music gets a little louder in parts of the video and makes it difficult to hear your voice. I know you had to have spent a ton of time on this because it is great!! Keep it up man!
Steph needs to endorse this
Congrats Steph and to all warriors team and fans.. you're truly deserving to be the 2022 NBA finals MVP award.. you're the BEST 👍👍👍👍👍
Obviously a generational NBA player,.and one of my top 3 of all time (a short list that includes Dr. J and Sir Charles),..we have run out of redundant words to describe this amazing basketball player and even better person! Carry on Steph!! (This video was VERY well done,-thank you for posting)
well done for this vid 👏 felt like i was watching a movie with the hero "going through it" and redeeming himself at the end
By far the best segment of the WARRIORS
This was beautiful! Thank you for creating this masterpiece
Nice video man love it♥️♥️
That was a great video you put together!
Great commentary too!
Very accurate and on point!
Thank you!
Very in-depth and I thoroughly enjoyed the pacing. Keep it up, and I wish you good luck with CZcams and hope you'll get more subscribers.
Stephen Curry is the best!!!
Very well done, thank you.
Top tier video my boy
Incredible video. Nicely done.
You deserve more views this is well done!
Enjoyed very much, thank you for your skills & effort.
he deserves every Ws he got, he been in the game for a long time like others, we clearly see all his improvements. curry goat
In my opinion Stephen Curry is the best player in the NBA today!!!
I loved this
Steph.. Just wow!!
*"Short handed Cavaliers". It's the remarks such as that, that people use to diminish a teams success. In the next sentence "In which the Cavaliers took a 2-1 lead"* #MakeItMakeSense
Great video! Thank you for doing this! May God bless Steph Curry as he continues to give the glory back to God!!
He’s the best player and plus all of warriors boys and even coach, too I am very happy that warriors won!
Can u turn up the music louder. I can still hear your comment.
You could say that the warriors are the greatest dynasty in the 2010s, but the spurs are undeniably the greatest dynasty this century
even after 6 years. That Cleveland loss hurts...alot.
More than the 2019 loss. The Raptors had us once Durant/Klay went down.
@@zacharyyamashita8554 nobody has ever beat a fully healthy Warriors team since 2015.
Tbh only reason why cavaliers won 2 games in 2015 was due to the poor defensive strategies instead of double teaming LeBron early on they focus on role players allowing him to drop that many points, Steve Kerr wasn't even there during most of the championships
Moved ❤️ G.S.O.A.T Stephen Curry ❤️
He is Wardell Stephen Curry...... I think Steph should have been got an MVP in the finals Klay should receive the next one & Draymond should receive one also!!!!!
MVPS
It just baffles the mind that in the eyes of far too many Steph still isn't considered a HOF lock let alone a first balloter unlike players like Westbrook, Melo & DHoward.
Ya it’s strange he is definitely locked into the HOF
@@ililliililiil6826 wait people still talking about HOF? hes top 10 all time lmfao
He was a 1st ballot lock when he became the 1st Unanimous MVP in NBA history
Yes
Curry Curry Curry!!!!
Until the warriors got knocked out by the Lakers in the second round just this past season, yet another magnificent season by Steph despite a horrendous road record from the Warriors
I'm usually not speechless, but I told my friends that S. Curry was the greatest player to play the game of basketball. And in my opinion, he is not the best, he IS THE GREATEST MAN TO PLAY THE GAME OF BASKETBALL. Not since Magic Johnson have I seen a man with skills like Seth Curry. And he is so unselfish with the ball, he just wants to win, period. He gives other players on his team, the chance to shine, and there is only one other player that did that, and it was my idle, Ervin MAGIC Johnson my first idle in basketball. One could pass like hell and now my second idle Steph Curry, who is the best shooter in the world. LIFE IS GREAT FOR ME, WITH MY GREATEST IDLES, GREATEST PASSER AND THE GREATEST SHOOTER. Life is Great, with those two men, in my world of basketball.
Another commonality between the 2, ALWAYS can count on above average offenses with those 2. The Lakers never had a below average offense from 1980-1991, and the Warriors have had just 1 below average offense in Steph’s career, (last year). The architects of two offensive dynasties while also being the 2 greatest point guards of all time.
Agree with your sentiment entirely, but for future reference: "idle" = "to stand still; to do nothing", "idol" = "person or thing that is greatly admired".
@@misterbarkin 👀😂😂😂
like the video , but maybe next time turn down the background music just a bit and it will make it a lot smoother to watch
Music is too loud and you fade of at times. But a comprehensive and informative.
I, as a Warrior fan who watched every game, was glad we kept Curry and traded Ellis for Bogut. It was obvious, if you watched, that Curry was already far better.
Steph curry try not to be better then lebron challenge (difficulty impossible)
CURRY 🤩🤩🤩❤❤❤
Thabk god we have Steph…..
Congrats on the viral video. If this is what your channel is going to focus on, there are things you can do improve your video essays in the future.
The biggest one I can give you is audio balancing. Throughout the video, your voice would peak the mic, getting randomly louder or softer based on the takes you were using. On top of that, the background music was drowning you out at the beginning of the video.
Appreciate the feedback!
I don’t understand why the 2017 series was considered uneven levels of competition. Look at the rosters and compare:
Lebron>KD
Kyrie
I think that Cavs team was probably the best team Lebron’s ever been on other than the B2B Heat team and maybe the bubble Lakers team. They had some defensive and attention span issues but they turned it on in those playoffs until the Finals. I just think the 2017 Warriors are probably the best team ever, certainly that I’ve seen.
#TRUTH
😭😭😭😓👌
The Lakers are still the greatest dynasty of the 21st century til they get 6 or 7
We know, as a Warriors fan, I think we have more of a rivalry with the Clippers instead of the Lakers.
Your music is too loud mann
u didnt need to put in kd as a co-leader because 2 is multiple technically
Steph is GOAT, 2nd only to MJ.
Steph went 7, klay went 11 in the draft. Why are we calling them the splash brothers. It should be 711
2018 Finals, Curry led the team in scoring 3 of the 4 games, but Durant wins FMVP
He could have had 3 fmvp yes Iggy had great defense on LeBron but LeBron still had 35+ point because they focused on letting LeBron score but stopping his teammates which was a bad call but their defensive scheme changed to start double teaming LeBron but no one talks about that they only talk about a healthy cavaliers beating an unhealthy gsw
Curry’s 2016 injury was his knee, not ankle
Looney stay bcoz family ang respect not money simple life and true friends.....
Am sorry steph top 5
Stop the cap Steph never said he would give KD the squad, he said he would be a part of the core, Kerr said KD would be a main shooter cause Steph would draw away double teams so KD get open shots
Background music is annoying.
KD had a match made in heaven with the warriors NOW LOOK AT HIM LOLOLOL A LONE RANGER LOL
Lebron cant depeat healthy warriors that tym.....if andrew bugot is healthy....realtalk.....
curry got robbed mvp by durant and iguodala
The sad violin music has to go
But MJ says he’s not a hall of famer. Straight hater bro.
Is this guy on antidepressants? Can you make a great story sound more boring…and the music is sad…
got me there🤣🤣🤣😂
Shaq>Steph
Your not wrong but for steph to do similarly like shaq at his height is extraordinary
