The deck is fantastic, just pulled Gitrog and looking forward to building him. I only have one issue - please buy a pop filter/use a noise gate/consider repositioning the mic as there are just so many saliva clicks and breathing sounds that its hard to focus on the video.

When it comes to heavy draw decks, I highly recommend Psychosis crawler as an alternate damage outlet and even wincon.

Agreed, it makes a lot more sense to add after goldfishing; but hey that’s the beauty of building decks!

Its a bit selfish but i added alhammarets archive to double the draw. Sac yargle and multani. Get 36 draws. 18 lands onto the battlefield.
    Combos well with psychosis crawler

I’m putting it in the 99 with the original Gitrog and Sheoldred the apocalypse with Thalia and the Gitrog as the commander. I’m even throwing Armageddon in there if you’re drawing extra cards and playing extra lands why not?! We’ll see if I take out the table or crash and burn 😂

I had never thought about this Gitrog in Thalia/Rog and that’s a great idea! I just love what this new Gitrog can do and it scares me in the best ways

I've been looking for a golgari deck that vibes with me as a mono-green player. I play Ghalta, Landfall Nissa, and Selvala. And my word I think I've finally found it with this one!!!

This deck is an absolute wild ride and it’s tempted me for sure. If I didn’t have a box full of decks, I’d be all over it

I'm new to magic and thinking of making this for my first non precon deck, would you say this deck is unfun to play against? im in a pod with other newish players who play things like eldrazi, mirrym, dinos, and want to be able to hang with them without making the play experience unfun for them, as the deck looks very strong. It's probably hard for you to answer but wondering your thoughts, as its hard for a new player to understand how powerful a deck is in comparison to other decks

I think this deck is probably not the best for a pod of newer players. This deck is going to either quickly become the enemy and make you not love the play experience or hi way too hard and make your friends not want to play against it. It is not that Gitrog is too strong to counterplay into, it looks REALLY scary on the outside

@@hometowncommander Okay, thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. I will definitely keep looking for some golgari commanders that are a little less scary to play against!

Idk how I got here but this deck feels solid tbh. Being able to do green and black things with a card draw engine that double as ramp feels especially powerful

This deck feels bonkers, I’m just not sure how to streamline it without the testing. In the 10-15 play tests I’ve done it’s just crazy how much it can do quickly

@@hometowncommander you could try taking it for a spin on untap? Just to get a feel for how it plays with interaction

Agreed, more testing is always a benefit
