It's April the 10th, 2024 and this video is just what I was looking for. Information about the fish that is all natural, healthy for you to eat, economical by the can and most importantly, sustainable. Since I'm 39, my earlier portion of life was just focused on eating whatever. Now, health issues are here to stay and I'm trying to eat healthier. The majority of commercial salmon fillets sold in stores is farmed, contains heavy levels of antibiotics, growth hormones and a disaster to the local water ecosystem. To top it off, I've read that some of these farmed salmon fillets are dyed with red to give it a more "natural" look. 🤢 Since I've learned about the ecological and health effects of farmed salmon, I've since moved to canned Alaskan Pink Salmon. Sure it's knot the most visually appealing when it's plopped onto your plate but as stated above, it's natural, extremely healthy, economical, supports the local economies and lastly, sustainable..👍🤝💯%

Despite the similarities, the genera Salmo (Atlantic Salmon and Trout) and Oncorhynchus (Pacific Salmon and Trout) are not closely related at all, the Salmo genus is more closely related to the huchen (Hucho hucho) and chars (genera Salvelinus and Salvethymus) and is grouped with them under the tribe Salmonini, whilst the Oncorhynchus genus is more closely related to the lenoks (genus Brachymystax), the siberian taimen (Mesohucho taimen), the sichuan taimen (Mesohucho bleekeri), the korean taimen (Mesohucho ishikawae), and the sakhalin taimen (Parahucho perryi) and is grouped with them under the tribe Oncorhynchini, the similarities between the genera Salmo and Oncorhynchus are an example of convergent evolution.
