I test Every Round (from Ground Vehicles), Missile + Rocket in War Thunder to see what it can do against a tank that was designed to withstand nuclear blasts to an extent.

15cm is just.... overkill for any tank, its like directly shooting a bomb on them. It does work only best when the armor is thin at an angle from a distance.

@@EdyAlbertoMSGT3 the 15 cm SLG 33 was meant to be an artillery piece, it's meant to destroy buildings or kill infantry.
Problem is... the projectile is always slow enough to dodge and move out of the way as soon you spot it.
It's maybe an overpowered vehicle when your enemies are literally blind, you however gotta attack beyond visual range and make sure your enemy NEVER moves or you'll fail

I don't think u can do tanks in naval battles tho, maybe if u do an operation custom battle not sure tho

I like these "Practical" Protection Analysis videos. I think you should do something similar with the Maus and other tanks.
Or something wacky like ship and tank guns vs Yamato's extra thick turret face armor when it comes out.
maus is already very easy to kill if it gets uptieres donr make it even more easier
@@_edgemaxxer_ Most tanks in the game can kill most other tanks in the game if you give them the most ideal of ideal situations; for example, you can theoretically kill the IS-7 with the M2A2's .50 Cal at 300m by taking out the driver repeatedly, or by setting it on fire enough times. The point is that it'd be fun to see what it takes to frontally damage different vehicles, starting from the weakest shells.

So in this video, we learned that in order to kill this UFO tank, you either need a lot of pen, or a round that goes really fast. Anything fat or slow won't go through.

just gona say, the turret ring on the sides can be penned by just about any high caliber round that will face this tank (even the t32e1 can pen it), a lot of aphe rounds can also pen the cupola but it can be difficult to hit that past 300m

2s38 has a 57mm gun, with about 225mm pen
Yes, and no, technically the Apfsds itself it’s around 30mm but the cannon is 57mm

You can go through the turret ring with small rounds with good pen. Got kill this way twice by 30mm from a Falcon and 35mm from Gepard

Armor is irrelevant at 8.7, there's darts and missiles flying everywhere. Noone is shooting you with anything the armor can deflect

Oh wait I forgot other nations can't have OP vehicles because the devs are russian. Let me just forget the G.91 pre nord nerf, the F-14 spam, the Aim-9L, the absurd ammount of US CAS, the Leo 2A6....

So, about the Sturmtiger's rocket. It has the same amount of explosive filler as the 100kg bomb, but pens way more than the 2000kg bomb, so about 250mm pen.
Ran across one of these in a match yesterday while playing in my AML-90 got lucky enough to actually kill it. I was surprised to say the least.
this tank is stupidly op, it was made to survive nuke from miles away, not every type of bomb not doing a thing to it within a radius of directly on top of it
Yea from what I can see the main problem is that at its br it faces mostly darts and what really messes it is explosive filler

"75mm AP" doesnt really mean anything when there's like 30+ different tanks that use that caliber

There is an area between the UP and LP where it can be penned by anything... killed a couple of those tanks with a Flakpanzer Gepard some days ago

pvkv 3 (?) is by far my best counter for this below 7.7-8.0, lots of 8.3 SPAA that has a chance but lots of solid shot and heat vehicles that just cant reliably get through anywhere nor damage through the cupola but the pvkv with great zoom, a great aphe and 15 degrees of gun depression makes it "good" at exploiting stupid object 279 players when they mess up as they do alot.
Quick tip, if you want to have an easier time viewing whats damaged, press O on your keyboard and you get an xray view of a vehicle with components

I've killed the 279 a few times with the ZA-35 through the cupola. Same belt the Gepard uses. It's hilarious when a confident 279 tries to rush me, and I destroy his gun and then cupola him to death.
It's surprising how little people know that you can melt the 279 with 30mm+ AA.
I'm thoroughly surprised by the FV4005 not killing that thing.

Hmm, the outer shell of the object 279 was already gone during the SC2500 test, is there a difference if the outershell is intact?
If you go against it in AB anything with 320-350 min pen will either oneshot or two shot the tanks through driver’s hatch as there are no extra armor over there.

In one game a few days back I killed 2 of these with the tree TAM DM23 both with a single shot to the ufp head on
I swear there are barrels I can knock out in 4-5 shots in the coelian and other barrels I have to hit 30 times wtf??

The coverage of the tank is the main thing, the armor was mediocre but it covered the top much better than other designs.

U missed 120mm APDS from the Chieftain it has like 400 something mm of pen
Edit: when I made my initial comment it was late and I was tired the chieftain Mk 3, mk 5 and mk 10 all have APDS with 298mm of base flat pen but the shell weights 7.48kg or 16.49lb which can do some very serious damage
