I think what she meant by "you won't rise to the top because you are alone" is not really a matter of physical, like she even says in the episode, but more of in the sense that they have a stronger reason as to why they fight. Sakura was only fighting to become the strongest, where the Furin kids fight to protect something they love (their neighborhood).
I've only watched the first episode though, so that's just my interpretation of it. 😄

Really good first episode. I like that they gave the narrative that the furin guys were like these bad and ruthless guy but in reality they're the good guys. Hopefully this show stays pretty grounded and not go to over the top.
Also the director for wind breaker is the same person who directed the fate/grand order anime. which the staff is equaly as strong as jjk s2. so hopefully the director can bring some of those animators so that we can get some more cool looking sequences. But overall a good show for now.
Yeah there's several ways this series could go, it could turn out amazing or utter trash lol. We'll just have to see where CloverWorks takes us

As a fan of the Windbreaker manga, you are gonna love the MC's development, other characters, rivals and more action scenes, touching and heartwarming ones etc. Hope I don't spoil too much. Enjoy the show.

There's a whole war arc going on right now.
Basically certain ex members from furin who are trying to turn the shcool back to how things was before. Where people would fight for the top, creating chaos and destruction.

bruh i thought this was the anime adaptation of the webtoon "wind breaker" i was hyped lol
If it was a webtoon adaptation, there would've been a different kind of hype to it. It's very hard to have anime community take note of webtoons and manhwas in general.
