10:11 8️⃣ Russians don’t drink COLD DRINKS WINTER TIME

12:03 🔟 where are NO Ушанки, балалайки, lots of vodka, blini and the bears, everywhere outside on the streets??
13:23 1️⃣1️⃣ Those Shocking Articles about Russia on the Internet
🙋🏼♀️ Moscow is the largest city in Russia and the second largest city in Europe after Istanbul
🙋🏼♀️ The population of Moscow in 2021 is 12.7 million residents
🙋🏼♀️ Moscow is 3.22 times bigger than New York
Already shocking? But we haven’t even started yet! And now we are:
✅😳 1 No UBER in Moscow
Can you believe this? No Uber guys! Forget about it. When you open your Uber up it will automatically bring you to Russian analogy Yandex Taxi
Business taxi - this Maybach - from the airport to my hotel costed me £45
For 1 hour 30 minutes trip - yeah … traffic in Moscow is also shocking!
✅😳 2 It’s extremely warm inside - everywhere: homes, hotel rooms, cafes, restaurants
Starting from the plane! I was already wearing my mask which made it difficult enough to breath.
But it was also very hot temperature. I ended up staying in my t-shirt
✅😳 3 it’s shocking how clean it is everywhere. On the streets you will hardly find any rubbish.
Moscow is the largest city in Russia and the second largest in Europe- after Istanbul.
Can you imagine how many people are moving around here every single day?
how can they manage to keep it this clean?
And the shopping centres. Those already look like amusement parks. Very clean and tidy amusement parks I have to tell you. Shockingly clean!
✅😳 4 - How many places stay open until late even on Sunday.
When you are in Moscow get a local SIM card!
Unlimited Internet for 1 month will cost you $30 but you will save a fortune!
✅😳 5 - Level of hospitality in Moscow
Unbelievable hospitality
When you make some friends here you will understand what I mean. They will invite you for dinner, introduce their family to you.
✅😳 6 Tapochki Or Bahily!
Russia’s unwavering use of tapochki (home slippers) and bahily (plastic shoe coverings) is one cultural practice that I can’t still get rid off.
✅😳 7 Russians don’t speak English
If you wonder why Russians speak bad English, there are several reasons for that - poor level of language teaching in Soviet schools, historically not a popular language (we traditionally learned more French and German) and the fact that not many Russians travel abroad or communicate with foreigners.
✅😳 8 Russians don’t drink cold drinks during winter
And this is so true!
And that’s absolutely not surprising, as Russia’s national drink is tea! We just love to drink it, and especially when it’s cold, a Russian would never take a sip of cold cola - but rather a cup of hot tea.
✅😳 9 - you have to sit down before you leave the place for your trip - before you depart
How it works, when you about to depart for travelling before you leave your house you must seat down and keep quite for a few minutes.
✅😳 10 where are NO Ушанки, балалайки, lots of vodka, blini and the bears, everywhere outside on the streets???
I’m so Sorry my friends to disappoint you .. fine! Ушанка, балалайка, матрешка you can find in any souvenir store.
Vodka and blini you can have in many restaurants.
✅😳 11 - Those Shocking Articles on the Internet- The bloody articles i found on the internet. You can’t believe how much bs are still circulating there!

What was the most shocking there for you? 😉⁉️
Only in my dreams.
No, but I'd like to see Moscow. We also have such tapochki in Poland. We call that "kapcie" sometimes laczki or papucie I know it is a little funny but dialect...
Что удалила то? Не приедешь в Камышин, "британка"?

I have never been to Russia.
The cultural thing I liked the best, was to sit down silently before travelling 🥰
From my childhood I have heard about India-Russia friendship and now I am very curious to visit Russia... But as an Indian I can speak only English as foreign language, I wish to visit Russia rather than going to other English speaking European countries. I want to talk and share vibes with Russian people....Love from India..
If you planing to visit Moscow of Saint Petersburg that’s not big problem. But I recommend you find some English speaker guide to make this trip more comfortable
Some Russian friend or tour company’s sell this services
I have been in Sibaria from Novosibirsk to Vladivostok! It was really great! Russian people are the most warm hearted people I ever met! I felt home too, because it turns out I look super Russian and I was in the "club" immediatly.Greag food, fun people, beautiful landscape.I can't wait to go back! The politics are not my favorite though, but despite that I really love this country!
Siberia 🤩🤩 ohh my god! That’s amazing! I wish I’d manage such a trip too one day 😌
Thank you very much indeed 🤗🤗🤗❤️
Если бы у Россия была другая политика, тогда страна бы тебе не понравилась. Меньше смотри западные СМИ
Russia is very beautiful. The media never does justice to great nation and great people of Russia. I am Russian and I visited Russia after 15 years. Love it though I am sad, I cannot write in Russian - I excel in Russian speaking though. I so wanted to work there.
Сесть и помолчать перед выходом из дома - это для того, чтобы не забыть в попыхах чего-то нужного.

The biggest shock for americans? Literally no obesity. Americans are FAT, russians are thin, and the women are beautiful!

Just discovered your vlog, and it's suprisingly great! Thank you for doing justice to Moscow and its hospitality:)
Moscow is the largest city located entirely in Europe. 😅😅
Hi Anna! I've never been to Russia but want to visit it one day. Your video convinced me even more I should go there. Luckily I still remember some Russian language. It looks like Moscow never sleeps and I didn't expect it's that clean. Looking forward for more content about Russia.
Aww thank you very much Robert 🤗 I’m so happy you enjoyed it ☺️
Such an emotional video! Im Russian and it was really interesting to know your opinion about us and our country!
Aww thank you so much 🤗 I’m glad you enjoyed it 😉
Which part of Russia are you from?
@@AnnaGoldmanTravel wow really, i couldn't even imagine that you are Russian! You express your emotions not like ordinary people of Russia. Im from Far East, Vladivostok. What city in Russia are you from(if it isnt a secret)?
thanks for sharing, it certainly changes a lot of things about Russia....and yes, there is loads of stuff about Russia that might not be true....since the world is trying to provoke the bear.....anyway, Russia isn't as cold and dark place as I thought, it looks like a nice place, thanks for sharing
Aww thank you very much ☺️🤗
Russia is a great place to visit indeed 😉 I hope next year I’ll make it outside Moscow and will show more places to you 🤗
Stay safe!
Wonderful presentation, thanks:)
Anna. It is the last thing I do to end my Sunday. Except praying offcourse. Have to watch your Sunday video. You have a very sharp sense of humor. Always makes me smile. This was one of your best ones in my opinion. You can be proud of your heritage. Love from South Africa. Have a wonderful week.
Aww thank you very very much 🤗 you comment has just made my day ❤️
Thank you..

I would absolutely love to visit South Africa one day 😌
@@AnnaGoldmanTravel Yes, we will be honored to have you!
Thanks so much for the information
Hi Anna, thank you for this video!! 😀 From 2015 to 2017, 2 years, I lived in Russia, mostly in Moscow as an university student, most Russian people were very hospitable to me, had a great time and it’s very true about the bakhily (бахилы) you see them a lot, that’s definitely unique to Russia. I had to wear them on my shoes in many instances and this I can understand, just like you mentioned, it totally fits in with the russian’s floor cleanliness policy/thing.
But.. during my time there I also had to wear them barefoot at gynecologist visits (she demanded that I take shoes and socks off) and wear this flimsy blue plastic on my bare feet. Also I remember 2 other instances, once we were with all other students at a museum, our whole group got told to remove shoes and cover our socks with bakhily before the tour. Another time, me and some other russian people were invited over at a friendly couple’s home and they handed us both tapochki and a pair of plastic bakhily. Then asked to remove our shoes and wear the bakhily inside the tapochki. The other guests seem to be very accustomed to this, I was the only foreigner there. It was summer I was wearing sandals so I wore this plastic around my bare feet inside the tapochki the rest of the evening (and so were most of the other girls for that matter) - not comfortable and very sweaty to wear them for so many hours. For me as an outsider it was a bit strange yet kind of funny sight seeing all these people running around with their feet wrapped in “plastic socks" and slippers, yet nobody else seemed to care or even pay any attention to it.
You being from Russia, just out of curiosity, why barefoot? did you ever experience this?
what you said seems strange to me, I lived in Russia for more than 20 years and NEVER wore shoe covers anywhere except in doctor’s offices. In 20 years, I have never seen anyone wear shoe covers at home or with slippers.
enjoyed this video almost the most ^^ I like to hear a mix of British, northern and russian accent of you haha
Спасибо Аня ,хорошая работа ,было интересно
It's always a pleasure to see your videos :-)
Thank you very much 🤗❤️
Thank you Anna 😄
My pleasure dear Susan 🤗❤️
Anna my main ancestry is Byelorussian & Italian, myself. So it's interesting you mentioned the Italian food part. Have you made a video anywhere about Minsk? Love your outfits, by the way!

Aww thank you so much indeed 🤗🤗 I’m so happy you enjoyed it ☺️
Are you planning to go to Russia any soon? 🙂
@@AnnaGoldmanTravel Yes, I want to travel to Russia soon to meet a friend I made on tinder, we speak on viber and for the moment we translate with the APP translator but it will be very fun to meet without knowing the other's language, and as you say yourself in your video doesn't know how to speak English so it's going to be a challenge. but thanks to your video I am learning not to commit any recklessness
Moscow and Saint Petersburg are awesome cities , Saint Petersburg is probably the most beautiful city in Europe and the Russian are still renovating some of the beautiful buildings , old European architecture …
Great vlog as always! Take me with you! MOW and LED and the rest of Russia is on my bucket list! Awesome as always my friend. I think there is no more ice skating down town. It is a big Christmas market there and a big ferris wheel. I have not been on Instagram, sorry about that. I hope you are well. Be safe!
Aww thank you so much 🤗🤗 yeah.. Russia is a great place to visit indeed! Ice skating is so cool though ☺️
Fresh berry tea is great, black tea, and green tea!
Hello Anna, My wife and I are scheduled to go to Russia in 3 months. It is the 5th time our trip has been rescheduled since 2019 due to COVID. Our trip is with a very small tour group. If our trip gets canceled by the tour company again, we would like to try to come on our own. How hard is it to get around If we don't speak any Russian? Would this be too hard to do? Thank you for your great videos!
Есть куча англоязычных гидов в крупных городах. Да и в целом в Москве многое дублируется на трех языках русский, английский, китайский.
Cool video! I like flavored vodka, Smirnoff Ice, etc. I actually developed a taste for the stuff last time I was in Ireland back in 2006...
Smirnoff is European brand, not so good for local market to be honest. Try Beluga or any other Russian products - it’s better. And some advise: make it -5C or colder before drink
I used to walk on these streets and red Square almost everyday for long years. I miss these days. I felt inside of my heart that i miss it a lot while i am watching you
Aww that’s amazing! How long for you’ve been living in Moscow? Did you enjoy your experience? 😉
@@AnnaGoldmanTravel almost 5 years. Yes i enjoyed experience, actually was a harsh experience in the last years and wasnt that good, but still i have a lot of memories in almost every street of Moscow. New Arbat, Old Arbat etc. People that i miss there, and there was a girl called Arina still she is living in my heart. As you understand Anna, my soul still there and became my second hometown. hi Anna In today's video I have given 7 likes😀😍☺️🥰
Beautiful
thanks, this was very informative, this helped with the planning for going to russia next year.👍
The sitting tradition is pretty surprising. I didn't know that.
Happy that you can find nice pesto in Moscow!
Thank you very much 😁🤗
Yeah, I know .. it’s really a weird tradition ☺️ but it still exists though.
Ohh yeah! Italian food is really good here.. I was shocked!
Very often people remember that they have forgotten something while they are sitting quietly for a few seconds.
@@baan-tipvimansamui7340 Yeah. We all should do that every time we leave a place. We would forget and lost fewer things that way. 😅
Nice presentation! I have been in Moscow several times although, tell you the truth, nothing of the shocking facts you mentioned did not shocked me. However, I got a surprise in metro the first time I used it. I was asking my friend a ton of questions loudly and for a couple minutes she was answering my questions. Then suddenly she told me “ Shut your mouth you noisy southern man, do you hear anybody else talking in here? “ I looked around and indeed there was a dead silence!! Wow , in my country this doesn’t happen.😀
Darling, as long as you smile in Russia make sure you are doing it speaking English (or any other foreign language) at the same time 😂
Usually when I smile and speak Russian people think I’m an idiot 🤪
Have no idea why but smiling is far not a Russia culture 😉
Stay safe 🤗❤️
@@AnnaGoldmanTravel Yeah you are right, I should investigate why Russians don't smile that easy 😀. Thank you, stay safe as well ! ❤
Russians smile on special occasions. It's good thing btw . laughing on baseless talks and things looks like idiot 😂

2: Well now...this is not something you'd ever think about in Russia.....being hot indoors.
Ohh believe me sometimes it’s extremely hot 😁 like you have to stay wearing a t short in the restaurant in Moscow.. winter time 😁 shocking!
Центральное отопление у всей страны в зимнее время. За газ платим 15 долларов в месяц
Where did you find a simcard for $30 ??? I've never paid more than $3!
приезжайте к нам мы всегда рады.
What's your specialtea? I guarantea that you'll like it.
what I found travelling all over eastern europe and russia is the appalling level of customer service in shops, cafes and basically everywhere...you just get the feeling of being a nuisance and that the staff wish you never got in in the first place
I know what you mean about misinformation. Before visiting Polska, there were warnings about the dreaded Polish drink-bars frequented only by men, smoking cheap Russian cigarettes and with whom you would need to exchange rounds of drinks until the ambulance arrives to rescue you. Did not find anything of the kind. So I believe what you say about Moscovites and Vodka. That being said, all of my cousins drink a LOT of vodka.
Not sure really.. maybe I’m just in a company of different people in Moscow 🙂 so I don’t know much people who would drink vodka and wait for ambulance to finish their party 😂
@@AnnaGoldmanTravel Thanks for your reply. I have a niece in Trondheim that we hope to visit soon, and particularly want to see the fjords - so thanks for your series, looking forward to visiting Norge

Not Moscow related but I would love it if you could introduce us to some good Norwegian brands - fashion, homewares, skincare etc - if such brands do exist. If not - tell us which international brands are popular in Norway.
Interesting idea 😉 ill see what can be done 🤗
Is it also clean in the street of 🇳🇴 Norway just like 🇷🇺
Norway is still a small country.its easy to develop and maintain clean buddy . Russia is fuking tramandously huge
Shock #1: The women suddenly look like real women! ;-) In Norway most of the women have forgotten to be women.
There's no one way to be a women..
We have app Uber Russia.
I realy want to love Russia, but they wont let me.. :(
Is it safe now 2023 for American tourists in Moscow, authorities random harassment and😢 detention?
Everything you hear about Russians from the Western media must be divided by 3. Calmly come to any major city in Russia and no one will touch you, on the contrary, they will be glad that there are still people who are not completely scared by the US media. I assure you, in Moscow you will feel safer than in New York. The main thing is to be polite to people and they will be polite to you.
Anna are you Russian 🙂??
Well, she speaks Russian with no foreign accent whatsoever + she said "I left Moscow 10 year ago..." So, yeah, I guess she's a Russian immigrant to Norway.

Funny about the feet covers. I thought Russia would be dirty. Thanks for enlightening me. I’m curious why a lovely Brazilian girl is so attracted to Russia??
Interesting question ☺️ I don’t know why Brazilian girls are attracted to Russia 🙂 but I’m sure they have their reason to be 😉

Посидеть на дорожку, это ритуал, предназначенный для того, что-бы в последний момент вспомнить не забыл ли ты взять что-то или выключить электроприбор. Что-то в этом роде.
Another good tip: Do not speak critically about the governement in Russia, because you risk getting a permanent vacation, given by the country´s insane leader. YUCK!!
This is not quite true. You will either be no noticed or you will be told to say on camera that "I was wrong, I'm sorry" and that's all they will just let you go and tell you not to do that anymore.
I hope you get to make the '11 BS articles about russia' video.

So do you mean that today there are more alcohol drinkers in Moscow?
I hope so, since alcoholism is a serious issue in Western Europe.
What about smokers in Moscow?
The biggest culture shock is that Russia has one of the lowest mineral wages in Europe
So true .. and so sad at the same time ..
Well not minimum wages lowest in whole Europe lol
