This time I am sharing three non-typical Mule Deer bucks shot in the course of one week, as luck would have it.

Hey hoo great video ! I was wondering what your opinion on the best location for non-typical/rares. I find nothing but basket rack bucks with my largest scoring 140. I would love some help though.
+treylon green Well that's the beauty of the game. You can never know where and when they come around. I think i have been extremely lucky to see so many, and especially that huge one. I might not see any for months now. Keep going after them, that's really the only advice I can give.
About 5 min after i watched this i was walking to the same stand you were in and 4 big muleys came in. The best scorred 184, and i dropped hime along with a 124.

+Kyle Castley I have been using the full version of Fraps. If you have a newer NVidia graphics card howerver, you can use Shadowplay which is free and has lots of features.

When do you normally start to see non-typical deer.
There are no particular times, locations or situations that will produce more non-typicals. It is completely random.
How do you get so many males to come over?
Bambilinoo Sometimes Mule Deer Bucks travel in groups of 5, it’s quite uncommon, but with a good caller and a good tower spot, you can call in a lot of males.

What time do you start?
Here usually at 10 or 11. You can see the time on the Huntermate (e.g. 4:45)
how do you know if something is non typ
It will say that in the score sheet, but you should see the difference. These antlers are either totally asynchronous, or the look completely different from the normal racks.

When you shoot at them, they get nervous and duck. If you shoot them while they are down, they will fly away. You have to wait for them to get up to shoot the next.

The hunter draws in a breath before shooting? That's not how it's done.

It actually is, if you know what you're doing. For people that have problems with shacking it's a viable option.

Here in the U.S we have whitetail farms dedicated to none typical bucks. In all honesty. I think they look ugly. Un-natural. I'm much happier bagging a small 8 point buck then getting some weird looking ugly buck.
