  • DON'T GO CHEAP! After trying multiple drives with the PS5 I can't emphasize enough that there is a big performance difference between the top USB storage devices and the top Gen4 M.2 storage devices. Faster read speeds, write speeds, download speeds, loading times and across the board it is a step up. So if it's possible I would recommend grabbing a Gen.4 M.2 for your PS5 cause it's definitely worth it.
I want to be very clear, I make absolutely NOTHING off of any purchases. I personally was impressed by this Aorus 7000s when it came to performance compared to its biggest competitors. Samsung and Western Digital definitely make some great storage and were neck and neck with this in the speed tests.

Samsung and Western Digital definitely make some great storage and were neck and neck with this in the speed tests. They're all great products and I think the best advice I can give when shopping Gen4 drives for the PS5 is to stay in the realm of name brand and trusted quality. I hope this video helped! Stay awesome everyone 👏👏

Thanks so much for making a superb video with super simple to follow instructions. I was honestly scared I’d break my console when I realise I’d have to pull it apart to install the Aorus drive I bought instead of plugging it in externally. Your video made it super quick, super painless and super easy.
    Thank you ❤️

I bought the Aorus 7000s. Just received it a couple of days ago. And I’ve been impressed with it. I haven’t updated it to the latest update that claims to improve console compatibility but even without applying the update, games load instantly, and it has provided a very smooth performance. I’m happy with my purchase so far.

Typically the speeds are faster when you go to a higher storage drive. I've used the Samsung 980 Pro 2TB NVMe drive, SN850 2TB, and the Seagate FireCuda SN530 4TB NVMe. The Seagate drive is by fast the fastest drive I own.
