Love Jay Leno, not a ounce of snobbery and his comedic wit is always welcoming.
Jay is absolutely genuine.
I don't think I've ever seen Jay laughing so heartily.
Old story.... like 20 years ago, a reporter took their kid trick or treating to rich and famous people’s homes to see if anyone would hand out candy personally... Out of the dozens of homes they trick or treated, only 1 famous person was coming to the door for the kids-Jay Leno
This doesn’t suprise me. He’s a class act
When I was a kid in elementary school (Burbank, CA) he would come to the school and do a show with kids. I was in the library because I had a broken arm in a cast and he said hi and was very nice. Still remember it. Great guy!
To see Jay laugh like that was just magical!
Great story on that couch Jay, all the more funny with you telling the story lol!!
Underwear in the couch cushions, only can happen to Leno, man that’s funny! 😂🤣😂
He has beef with buying couches
Bahaha! Well you KNOW there are collectors out there going, "Ooo! I wanna get my hands on Jay Leno's underwear couch!" 🤣
What a beautiful LeCornu stove.
And Jay will be in the garage…..love the guy.
I am happy for Jay Leno and his wife🙂 He genuinely seems like a nice man, and the house is lovely. Had I the opportunity to buy that house, I would have bought it furnished as well. It is very tasteful!
The house sat on the market for a long time. Jay got a $2 million discount on the purchase. The owner gave him the furniture.
Love that stove!
Love Jay Leno! Thanks for giving us a tour if your house! All beautiful! 🇨🇦👏👏👏🤗🤣🤣
1:40 the woman “oh dear” lmao feeling emotions she hasn’t felt in years 😝 sweet
Sweet, would love to see more. Thanks, Jay!
The previous owner of this house was obviously a collector who knew what he liked…even though he collected different stuff than Jay, Jay recognized the importance of the collection.
I'm originally from Portsmouth RI,next to Newport and I was able to see the house waaaayyy down by the Gate back in Oct...lol. I'm in Gatlinburg Tennessee Great Smoky mountains national park now
Thanks for sharing. Sounds like you learned early that “buyer beware”.
Love Jay Leno!!!
Love it!!
Jay's the man
Great story! 👏👏👏🇨🇦
Interesting, Thank You!
Forget Jay's art and baubles, I'm drooling over the appraiser's necklace, a Mexican piece with gemstones, possibly by silversmith Matilde Poulat.
4:37 LOL
Love Jay.
Hahaa underwear in the couch only Jay!
Love the underwear story! 😄
Hopefully it was at least clean underwear.
Jay is probably so relieved about buying the house knowing he’s got $3,000 every few feet 😅 such a down to earth guy
You know he's got a mental list about what car he could get in exchange for everything in that house
@@jblyon2 lol
That house couldn’t be less Jay Leno, it’s for his wife
I'm checking my couch for old underwear right now
The couch story is worth the whole show!
Yes yes,, hot big is the garages? We need some good east coast cars in there!!!
It is nice to see Jay Leno Dress up in his good black shirt and not the double denim.
He was showing his sartorial splendor
I met Jay at an Italian Concourse. We were both looking at a bulletin board, I said Jay hi. He seemed paranoid, like shhh. Nice enough but......hey it was an Italian concors show you ain't all that. No his car didn't even place. I parked my alfa on the green and watched my buddies dad win. He was a simple doctor.
My first home was $63,000
Alright, Mr. Moneybags
It does make me wonder about the house Jay Leno moved into? Some eccentric guy definately lived there, it figures Jay Leno would love a place like this
You will see people with taste but no money or money but no taste. Rarely you find money with taste. Jay and his wife are that rare find. Enjoy!
Imagine trying to clean that house.
Wish we could tour the whole home and forget the appraisal
So Jay doesn't live in a Hemi-powered van down by the river.
That spot is taken 😉
National Geographic Voice...
Here you can see the way old farts flirt...
Jay’s thinking I could sell this thing and buy some turbos …..
W.O.W.
I’m sorry to say but Jay fits the part of The Beverly Hillbillies.
I think it's great. He earned every single dollar he paid for that place. You're sounding mighty jealous, NA. Not a good look.
💓💓👍🏿👍🏿👀👀 5/9/22
Jay , That house is no Edsel.
Hey nice Jay, I’d like to know the selling price. Like how many ?,000,000. You sure picked a nice one.
$13.5 million.
@@JonnyRicter to me that sounds like a steal of a deal.
@@hwh888 I thought the exact same thing. I was expecting that house to cost a lot more.
Where is Mrs. Leno?
What's with all these lowball estimates (not so much in this video, more so in the first one)??? Everything's like $1K - $2K when in reality that couch would auction for no less than $25K. The massive painting in the entrance foyer is worth way more than $150K. The quality of that artwork easily puts it at around $1 million. Its size, its colors, its vibrancy, all of that gets factored in, and yeah, the frame alone is around $20K. So at least he got that right.
Wow that stove cost the same as a house.
Im alittle sad the artist doesn't pay for the piece and return it because they had their moment, seems there taking advantage of another artist
Glad C.S. voiced it
Jay spends $50k a month just on maintenance of the house. The bay windows facing to the ocean have to be replaced every 3 years.
When I want to travel across town I hop in a bus for $1.50 while Jay hops in a 100 year old Bugatti for 8 million. Thats what I would say when he makes the comparison with telling the time.
420 Jay?
More like 71-year-old , semi-retired, IDGAF Jay
Jay was one of the last truly funny late night comedians. Now late night shows are all garbage,
Jay Leno only likes things because of what it is and what's it's appearance is. He couldn't care less about it's value.
oink. oink.
It's the stove I just don't understand. I'm certain it will last for decades (even a hundred years) - but... if you know how to cook? I don't think I could justify that price. As he said - hot dog nights.
That silver hair lady is a fox.
What's her instagram?
btw the stove is nice too.
He should of took her for a ride in the Viper!
If you get an opportunity to have your item valued by an expert, be sure.amd.interrupt her as many times as possible.
She did not seem to be irritated, she enjoyed the show instead.
People see things how they are not as it is.
Smile, life is short.....
The auction lady didn't seem to catch Jay's humor.
It's amazing that with all Leno's wealth his watch only cost $420, because usually guys in his position are flashing their $10,000 Rolexes in other people's faces going, "See! See!...."
It could have been a $20 Casio.
I wonder if Jay would have kept the couch if he found the cushions were stuffed with HIS underwear and rags?
Surprise Jay! Your rich as f*** 🙃
It's so unfortunate, to be able to have all this money to burn.
I mean, not everyone has _"that kind of money"_ to burn
If he’s got “money to burn” ,he’s got a really nice stove to burn it on….open 🔥
How is this burning money? He bought a beautiful home furnished with high quality appliances and valuable antiques. Burning money would suggest that he's doing something wasteful, no?
$100,000 for a new Stove ! It sounds like the government made it for that price Lmmfao ! 😆
It's swell he could use the Conan money to get a nice stove
I just love watching rich people get richer 🙄
Why would you spend millions on a house and contents only to be clueless as to what you are buying?
The perks of having more dollars than sense
He took a tour of the house before he bought it, liked what he saw, so he bought it. He explained that he really didn't care what the value of the stuff was, as long as you buy what you like, you won't be disappointed no matter what the value turns out to be.
@@RonGee Ron, Please don't wonder onto any used car lots! LOL
@@carls.1000 I didn't say that was my philosophy! That's the way Jay approaches things, especially things he likes. He's got almost 200 cars in 3 private hangers, and some have turned out to be better investments than others. But he says he doesn't buy them for the investment value, he buys them if he likes them. That's the way a lot of collectors are. It's not uncommon for some work of art to fetch millions of dollars over the appraised value at an auction because two or more people really like it and don't mind spending more than what most people think it's worth. That $13.5 million Jay paid for the mansion seemed like a steal compared to much smaller and more expensive properties in Southern California.
In a Forbes article, he said he bought the house with the contents because he said he didn't want to have to spend the time furnishing an empty house. And it wasn't just the contents of the house he was considering. The location was especially important, because it was right on the water and large enough for gatherings of his relatives, who lived nearby.
Exactly.. (I read that article too. )
