    Please make sure to wait a minimum of 10 mins after disconnecting the negative cable on the battery. Airbags can hold a charge for up to 10 mins and you do not want them going off while your working with them. It can kill you or make you hurt so bad you wish you were dead. Airbags can also go off 2 times as some have an extra canister to deploy in case of another collision after the initial collision. Great how to video but every please respect airbags.

    Extremely helpful. Someone tried to steal my Kia (annoyingly popular crime for middle-schoolers) and this helped me fix the damage for cheap!

    I need to remove the column . I have viewed many videos on the process . Your video was absolutely the clearest, to the point video on removing the airbag and steering wheel on you tube. You didn't waste time , you identified the necessary tools, I'm very impressed.

    Awesome video, its exactly the same on my Daughters 2010 Kia Rio, which has the esp off light lit permanently, will until now. many thanks

    I loose both screws but airbag can’t pop out what could be the reason

      It will need to be reset… some one scanners are able to do it

    local mechanic wants 250 to do this 30 min job (not including the clock spring). wtf. quick NEWBIE question: I want to buy a simple tool to take are of the 21mm nut on the steering wheel. any torque considerations when buying the tool?

      Kia says 35 lb ft for steering wheel lock nut… just snug it up good and your in good shape

    Shoulda left the steering wheel nut threaded on a bit.... wouldnt have hit ya in the face lol
