- Join myself (Ash) and Michael as we interview a local aviation veteran. Dave Holbourn flew C130s and various other aircraft in the RAAF and subsequently became a 747 Captain with Cathay Pacific! After a forced retirement at the stipulated age, Dave struggled with retirement blues before finding a new purpose in life - teaching student pilots in his state of the art Elite Simulator.

@@chrisholbourn2793 They must certainly be some great memories Chris..I was fortunate enough to get to sit in the jump seat of a brand new at the time 747-400 for the landing on a trip to Hong Kong ,

@@tonywright8342 I guess it's just the 'new norm' nowadays; thinking about only today and not the longevity of this documentary. In years to come the backing 'music' will only date poorly. But I sincerely appreciate the quality of the people within this video, it's good.
