I think another reason why they are productive and never miss a job is because they are truly thankful and dedicated for what they have and don't take it for granted compared to many people who take it for granted and slack because of that

I did a presentation in class about what I would do if I could create a new planet what would I change. My first suggestion was to give people with disabilities an equal chance to get a job. They are human just as I am and the next person. This video is so so important:

All too often, "disability hiring" means low skill/low pay roles. Sure, a Walgreens will hire

Walgreens was my 1st company I worked for and have autism. I worked at the store level, and yeah it had it's moments of making me frustrated and upset. I stuck there for a good 3-4 years before I got fired rightfully.

Very inspiring, accepting differences should be a curricula in primary so kids will learn in earlier stage that we all belong to the same world, very proud of every person who believes he/she deserve a good life. Well done .

I was forced to accept disability benefits when I couldn't get a job. I tried staying off of disability but I had to take the benefits. I have multiple mental and learning disabilities. I've been on disability for 8 years. I have tried to get back to work but no one will hire me or even give me an interview.

This video is so inspirational, and a reminder that everyone has the right to work if they want to and have the ability to work. Thank you for sharing! 👍🏾

And some sit n bxtch about how we sit on our ass collect a check eating bon bons yet when I graduated high school in ‘97 there was very little room to find work. After several attempts thru an agency got placed at a “peace” factory meaning I’d only receive pennies for each item. After a week of 8 hrs each day finally got first check it was around $25 not even enough to afford to live on my own nothing!!! I quit balled my eyes 👀 out, got a babysitting job that paid that & some. Eventually got on disability & section 8 finally able to live on my own. Now I’m working towards buying a house 🏡 with the aid of a first time home buyers program along WITH section 8 as part of the mortgage payments. Yea sometimes it sucks gets really boring but there’s really no way to move up & out of this situation without support or some sort of services job training “specifically for those WITH some type of disability”. Let’s be real here like ya really think 🤔 most people even care or have ANY knowledge how to work with disabled?!?? Yea sometimes daydream about working but I don’t have the support like this girl in the video NOT everyone is that lucky!!!

That's great that the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 was signed and enforced. Unfortunately, the blind and visually impaired communities across the United States still faces the highest rates of unemployment, poverty and homelessness. About 70% to 83% of blind and visually impaired people are currently unemployed. Around 1 in 4 of these individuals are homeless. The ADA law has made significant impacts on certain groups but not others. Regardless of education level

I think bigger business are in a better place to hire people with disabilities, especially in retail... such as stocking shelves, sorting product, greeting etc.

Hi! My name is Jen, I have a disability in my case it’s cerebral palsy. I was affected on my right side and I’ve been trying to find my place in this society. However I’ve experienced being discriminated because of my physical disability. This truly is hurtful because I just want to be accepted in this world. I want more situations similar to those in the video to give everyone a chance. Having a disability does not determine if we’re capable of doing the things that those without a disability are able to do. I’m extremely happy for Julie and I hope many others are given the opportunity to shine ✨❤️
