Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s Corbet’s Couloir is an iconic proving ground for skiers and snowboarders, a run that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in freeriding. At Kings & Queens of Corbet’s, the world’s top skiers and snowboarders come together for a one-day competition to see who really runs Corbet’s. Each competitor gets two runs down Corbet’s, and their best run counts toward the grand prize. I've snowboarded since 1983. CC is not made for SB. I was in Jackson Hole about 26 years ago. It was spring and CC was closed but I wouldn't have ventured over to it anyway.

Is true, but thats also part of the appeal of the event, its not rushed or timed, makes it feel more natural for riders.

Stand up there and look into the chute, then get back to me. Most won't drop in and it never looks like what these guys/gals are doing.

It's pretty ridiculous to me that competitors who aren't "hucking" the first drop get to go before those who are really needing that landing.

Agreed, really not appropriate to allow those who aren't up to the challenge to be able to enter the comp. Packing or dodging every feature just to rough it up for those who need it.

BPRescue first its not a blind drop. Second, it’s 2 weeks of untouched pow. Any competent skier could handle Corbet’s with that amount of fluff.
@@Dontworryaboutanything clearly you have never seen it, let alone skied it. When they are taking a run at it under power, you cannot see in until you come off the lip. Normally it is roped off and does not allow this type of entry. The only way you can see into it, is if you stand on top and drop in that way. Stand up there then get back to me. Your not the first person there I would have seen eat a heaping piece of humble pie.

@@BPRescue They are not dropping in blind. I'm just an average freerider but would still be able to straight air into Corbet's. That's apparently enough if you're a woman to get invited. I mentioned the one girl that did a successful backflip in my comment already. Learn to read.
BPRescue I’ve dropped in to Corbets.. What annoys me is that a guy could do the hardest line that a girls ever done and it wouldn’t even catch a highlight real or catch a sponsors attention. But the girl could make international news and gain countless sponsors.
@@gunterification I agree with you, but Judging from the videos posted on your channel you cannot straight air into corbet's like they did going that speed it's 40+ feet. You can't even manage to pole plant and keep your body balanced skiing. No way
