Maybe its because the name "chiropractor" has had some controversy stuck to it. But the type of joint manipulation they use is often also used by manual therapists and physiotherapists. Some say its mostly a placebo effect, but I know from experience my body just feels better, my posture is better and I have less pain when I've just been cracked.
