Can you advise what 16ch NVR will be able to work well with this specific camera?
How loud is the 823as2 motor vs the 823a and can you do an s1 vid. Is spotlight for s2 not motion activated?
Is there a release date for this? Thanks.
Definitely need to try this one compared to my 823a 16x.
Feels like the almost the same camera minus the different LED's right? The one you have has wide and spot IR leds and this one doesn't. If you get both Id be intrested to hear what you think!
@@ChrisCDXX Unfortunately not anytime soon, just bought 811a and I need to replace my old system.
Please implement a "Zone of Interest" Feature. Where during Playback you could Filter out the movement of a User selected Area.
Example: You want to see just the People/Cars that entered your Driveway or near your House during the Day without the need to scroll through all the recordings of everyone just passing by.
I replaced my Swann DVR system with a 16 channel Reolink NVR with a mixture of fixed cameras and Trackmix ptz cameras because Swann didn’t have smart detection and their app was useless. I give the Reolink AI 8.5 out of 10. Sometimes if a raccoon or cat walks into view I’ll get a “person detected” notification. This also occasionally happens with a spider web. Other than that this system is wonderful and the app so functional. It’s great to be any distance away and go into the camera settings and change whatever you want to. Also, I’d like to see the sd card slot to be upgraded to support 1TB across all cameras in the future. 256GB is not enough! Particularly for the Trackmix Wi-Fi cameras. 256GB gets you maybe 30 hours on continuous recording.
We need different colours, blacks and camo for these awesome cameras
How is the night vision?
G'day. Some of the comments made about the optical zoom have confused me. "With 16x optical zoom you can further magnify detail within the captured image." and then "using excessive optical zoom can sugnificantly downgrade image clarity."
I thought these 2 issues are a "digital zoom" problem and that the Optical zoom enabled better image definition at higher magnification. Sorry for my ignorance, I hope you can clear this up for me.
Hey! Optical zoom physically zooms the lens, capturing detail. Digital zoom crops the image, losing detail and quality. Use optical zoom for crisp close-ups!
@@ReolinkCameras so is the video script wrong because it clearly says: "using excessive OPTICAL zoom can significantly degrade image clarity"?
These 16x reolink cameras need track and zoom just like the trackmix series, i already use trackmix poe and i love them but theyre lacking range. Reolink needs to pick up on this and have this area covered....
why do you need an auto zooming in especially without a monitoring company. How will zooming in on a culprit automatically remotely help you in a real life situation, especially if the huge area you are covering has more than 1 moving object. Much love
Is this version less noisy while moving than the older 823A ?
Absolutely! We've made significant noise reduction a key focus for this model. You can expect a quieter operation compared to the 823A.🙂
Please can you guys make this in wifi and also with battery powered solar panel...it will definitely make it more badass
This camera takes way too much power for it to be battery powered, even with a solar panel for charging. At nighttime it takes 15W plus with the IR lights on. Even more when the white lights turn on.
I have had this camera for less than a month. Lots of issues. It will no longer track even though it is setup to do so. It requires a hard power off/on after the scheduled automatic reboot. When it did scan, if something went directly underneath the camera, it would no longer follow even though it was still in the left-to-right scan zone.

@reolink, I am about to lose my mind trying to get an answer out of your website chat reps. The video on the product page for this product shows it first tilt upward and then downward. Is this device capable of that motion? I need to know if I can tilt above horizontal. I am mounting this on a wall that is on the downhill slope away from the road and I need to be able to tilt upward a little to center the road in the picture. I can't put it any more simple that than. Either the video shows it capable of doing this or it's wrong and the stated 0 - 90 degrees tilt is true.
This is not a review. This is one long ad
Does it follow and zoom at the same time with automatic tracking? Or only tracking?
Let me guess It can only track. When tracking, it doesn't zoom in or zoom in automatically."
You have the RLC-823?
Yub
The RLC-823S2 can only do tracking also it comes with 3D Zoom feature . If you want to follow and zoom capabilities, the Track Mix is the best choice for your need.
@@ReolinkCameras RLC-823A: Disappointing experience. Installed 6 meters above the ground but unable to track people, vehicles, or animals. Zoom function is also underwhelming.
RLC-81PA: Installed 6 meters above the ground, similar to the RLC-823A. However, it cannot track people, animals, or vehicles.
Track Mix: Considered the best among the three. Installed 6 meters above the ground, it can track people, vehicles, and animals. However, it cannot clearly identify individuals in long-range scenarios.
Desired Camera Features:
Ability to identify individuals in long-range scenarios
Ability to zoom and track individuals simultaneously in long-range scenarios
#The zoom function must be 100% functional, not just a gimmick."
doe this record continuously on SD Card? or just NVR????
Absolutely, the RLC-823S2 can record continuously to both microSD card and NVR! It offers you flexibility in choosing your storage solution.
On their website it says continuous recording only to nvr not micro sd the older version however does let you
this video literally answers this question.
@@user-mq2ok5bt2i check the site again. You can record to both sd card or NVR. There are no restrictions.
PoE gets all the good stuff 😅
PoE technology receives all the latest and greatest features.
the wide end is not wide enough.
this camera is very poor at night, very poor, 2k gives you better clarity. the photos you show are from reolink, that's not a good review
Send me some Swag. I sell reolink all the time!
Did you even get to turn on this camera? You sound like a paid advertiser.
This is literally the CZcams channel of Reolink... So they are advertising ;)
When can I buy this ?
