As a landlord I have no respect or sympathy for section 8 landlords. I love seeing these landlords get harmed because they are evil socialists who accept money stolen from taxpayers. We the People should not have our hard earned tax dollars spent without benefit to those same tax payers. Forcibly taking tax money from honest earners then handing it over to those who have done nothing to earn or deserve it is criminal. It turns those honest tax payers into partial slaves forcing us to work against our will for others.

@@Lili-xq9sn That's sad but why exactly do you think the government should force the rest of us to work in order to support you? You think of us as your slaves? We don't owe you anything. We get no benefit from the money the government takes from us and gives to you. Instead of government giving away our tax dollars you should be receiving freely given charity funds as we did 60 or so years ago. There's a reason why many hospitals are named after saints because indigent people would receive care funded by charity.

@@QurVgn Well, sure, some do, others don't. The number of Americans struggling to pay rent is a large, diverse group of people.
“Wages and housing costs have diverged so dramatically that, for a growing number of Americans, the dream of a middle-class life has gone from difficult to impossible. As I write this, there are only a dozen counties and one metro area in America where a full-time minimum wage worker can afford a one-bedroom apartment at fair market rent. You’d have to make at least $16.35 an hour-more than twice the federal minimum wage-to rent such an apartment without spending more than the recommended 30 percent of income on housing. The consequences are dire, especially for the one in six American households that have been putting more than half of what they make into shelter. For many low-income families, that means little or nothing left over to buy food, medication, and other essentials.”

@@Rankinia Yes! It’s Awful! It took me 12 years to get a voucher - and now, even though I’m broke, I have my own place - and in the Bay Area that’s something to be Very grateful for! It’s just sad imo that some people don’t think long term - so they get a place with a voucher and then break the rules. And then they’re screwed. A housing voucher - now that landlords aren’t allowed to discriminate re where rent comes from/ they can’t deny Section 8 is precious! And yes, of course landlords do find ways to say no to section 8 - but Fair Housing has been some help in that dept. Still, most landlords don’t know they can’t say no just bc of Section 8 and telling them kinda sucks. I’ve definitely had some pissed off which is a shite way to begin a relationship.

Where I live in Batavia New York they look the other way at HUD they don't really do a real inspection... they give huge tax breaks and if I complain to have the roof fixed I can be homeless now! They can actually give you a month by month lease and throw you out on your ass if they don't like you asking to have things fixed! Or they can do it my landlord did the head of the Republican party in Batavia New York Richard Seibert they can say they're selling the house and there's nothing you can do and that's what just happened to me today. The conversation went I can get more money if I move you out and get somebody else I'm giving you a deal I used to call it a three-bedroom for 8 years now for six years I've been calling it a two-bedroom! If you think people stick up for HUD victims think again! Well they look in your apartment if there's a scratch on the paint or a broken glass it's a big deal but if the roof is leaking it's not if the wiring upstairs is from the 1930s it doesn't matter if the sewer keeps backing up cuz they won't dig a trench to the street cuz it cost $50,000 to bad if there's real mold in the basement too bad. Last time they told them to put a floor in my bathroom because it was from the 1950s and it was all cracked and I said I don't care I'd like a roof that don't leak well finally they patched it not put a roof on like other people have to we don't have the same rights as other people. And now people aren't taking vouchers so I'm about to be homeless with one leg and nobody cares where I live nobody's going to help me move I'm alone and I think I'm dead oh well who cares not anybody Genesee County New York where I live! Oh yeah I wish under my sink looked like that there's mold under there too! If you're living in HUD Section 8 home yes they should make them fix the damn roof yes they should be taking off an outlet where the two prongs are upstairs from the 19 whatever way early with the cloth wiring it's in my hallway! Yes they should look at the sticker on the furnace that says 1995! Yes they should hire people that can do their job fixing things but they don't not here in Batavia New York not when your landlord is the head of the Republican Party I'll be a martyr for HUD people and I'll suffer to help others because I'm not going to keep putting up with what they do to me I can have a home in jail! I'm tired of the things that they did to me here it's not right! Yeah they don't care about the foundation of the house the roof the most important things the electric where I live. It's too depressing

I live in Australia l cant believe this is section 8. I have wached a lot of documentries on people who are working on monimum wage jobs. And they are living in something you wouldn't put your dog in. I cant believe how luxurious this place is. Whats more it will be destroyed in 6 months.!

This Gentleman did a good inspection and He seems to care. Just My opinion but if I had properties as nice as this I WOULD'T take section 8. The lack of moral character today is the reason why. People are generally ignorant and Don't care about other people's property. Fact from an Experienced Landlord of 10 Years.
