  • This week, we follow Brand Ambassador Alan Barnes as he fishes on the River Calder, a beautiful, less well-known tributary of the River Ribble in Lancashire. In this video, Alan shows you have to fish with and bring plenty of fish to the net when fishing with the whip, a fast, efficient and deadly method for any match angler to master. The video includes plenty of tips and tricks for beginners and advanced anglers alike.

    Excellent demonstration of whip fishing Alan. I was at the big one show where James first showed the prototype.
    The interest was fantastic, Cadence have a definite winner there. Brilliant filming again Chappy.

    Yet another great video from Cadence. The lovely simple explanation from Alan, delivered nice and steadily, combined with beautiful camera work from Ian makes for a winning combination. So pleased to see a video on the long Whip which is not used nearly enough outside of Wye matches and is so simple. I’m so jealous that I don’t have access to a river like the Calder! Regards Bill

    Don't be frightened of big fish with a flick tip. I've had some cracking skimmers, roach, perch, tench and crucians on mine at 6 mtrs plus the odd bonus bream and a five pound carp that took me all over the shop, much to the delight of the grass cutting crew in the graveyard on the far side of the canal.

    Another excellent video Alan and chappy, great hints and tip and well explained. The best of sessions when fish react to the bait and you can really put the bait in and get bites right on hemp, great stuff!

    Hi if you put elastic in the pole would it bump off the little fish want to get on for canals and commercials just wanted a bit more security that’s all if I hooked a bonus fish cheers

    • @CadenceFishingUK
      @CadenceFishingUK  Před 4 lety

      James, of course it's possible to elasticate a whip. It's all about balance in your rig with respect to what fish might be present.
