  • Today JD Donaldson and Barry have a look at a new potential project - a 1939 Lincoln Zephyr Coupe. I know, right? Another Zephyr! And what a sight to see 3 parked side by side! Here we are having a good look at the car, and JB is talking with the owner about the details of what he's interested in doing to the car.

A piece of mobile art. Even the brake and clutch rubbers scream art deco. The instrument binnacle while great loses a bit to the incredible 38 work of art . These cars don't need to be chopped, they are perfect as is.

I now know that the car our milkman used to take my mother and me on a ride somewhere was a Zephyr... even though I was about 6 yrs old I recall the strange shifter and speedometer so well... 70 years ago

I have never seen a shift in that position before. Everything about these cars says art deco. That waterfall dash is something else. I on the other hand do find the sedan chop mod, if done right as awesome as a stock coupe. It eagerly lends itself to an artist's imagination. I like 'em all.

I'm looking for a 41 V-12 that hasn't been modified too much and is fairly complete.
