As expected, the wind was light and we needed a lot of sail changes to keep us moving. This was going to be a very long sail and we knew that the conditions would only get worse as time went on. But once you set off on a passage, you are usually committed so you have to put trust in your boat and yourselves and get on with it , without thinking too much about the end point but rather take each day as it comes and deal with it.

I know this is two years ago but how many times have you nearly gone overboard by tripping on those dinghy tie down? Maybe you’ve tied them down inboard now to the blocks under the dinghy by now but those lines would drive me crazy!
