A very responsible approach, unlike far too many CZcamsrs. staying in the islands for cyclone season is never a good decision. It's only a week to NZ. I have known a few people who have lost their boats in Fiji during cyclones. An unattended boat in a cyclone pit is an invitation to mould, rats & insects. I always leave at the BEGINNING of the high: I end up motoring through the middle of the high for a day or two, but importantly I get there before the cold front which is key. I have done that trip many times delivering yachts - so far I haven't had a bad trip south. It's also almost the only trip where I will motor as soon as the speed drops - beating the south wind to NZ is the focus.

why don't dingys have window bottoms to help scout the sea bottom?

I like your background music, but I must have missed at least 5 mins of conversation because I just couldn't hear it over the music.

It is great to see the boys putting the time & effort into their studies. One of the most valuable classes I took Freshman year (9) in high school was typing/keyboarding which makes you so much more productive getting your work done. The boys look like they might be college bound in the future, and they might want to consider taking a couple typing classes which would definitely help them moving forward!
