We sail our Amel Super Maramu westwards from the Marquesas to the Tuamotos. Family life at sea is basically all about how we manage mealtimes, sleep and watches aboard our boat in order to reach our destination.We know that Rowan will be leaving soon so we are starting to train the boys up in doing watches. We also have to plan our passage so we arrive at the atoll during the day at slack tide .

Strangly, I find that your sailboat reminds me of a shark. The shape is shark-like in some way that I can't explain. Nice!

Love this channel! -- QUESTION -- I can understand why so many people love the Amel Super Maramu and make youtube videos with it, but why does hardly anyone do the same with the Amel 54? Is there something wrong with that sailboat that makes it not as good for world circumnavigations?
The 54's are actually very nice boats, even better I think. I am guessing the people who can afford them are so busy working to pay for them that they have no time to make videos ;)

Nice videos! -- QUESTION -- We want to binge watch from the begining video, but your playlist (Episodes from the begining!) is in the reverse order and stars with episode 159.. Is it possible to reverse them so we can start with epissode 1 and then it will automatically play episode 2 and then 3 etc. Now it will start with the most recent video and NEVER go to the first video. It's too difficult to keep searching for the next video in order to watch in chronological order?

I really like you guys and your videos. I've been watching since near the beginning and I realize that for a while YT didn't let you have comments and that hurt your getting seen, but I feel like you should have a lot more subscribers. From your instagram I know you are far behind real time and I think that hurts your viewership. I don't really know, I'm not an expert at all, but I know that I feel a lot less engaged when I know that what I'm seeing is from a year or more ago. There have been other channels that I pretty much gave up on because they were so far behind real time. It's not that I'm mad or something like that, it just doesn't feel as compelling to watch. I'm guessing that I'm not alone in this. I don't think people expect real time, but more than a 1-3 month lag somehow just doesn't make me feel an urgent need to watch the video. And the closer to real time, the more I feel an urgency to watch the video now. I keep watching you because I really want you to succeed and I wish you all the best. The Tuamotos seem beautiful and I'm not saying you should skip all the way to real time, but working your way closer to real time might help get more views. But like I said before, I'm not an expert, this is just my opinion and my feelings about videos and maybe nobody else feels like that. Free advice, worth every penny you paid for it. 🙂 Anyway, I wish you the best of luck.
Yea, I guess that may bother people , it annoys me too but unless I skip a big part of our story then nothing much I can do as most my day is taken up with schooling so I can only edit at night once the kids are asleep . Also my computer usually overheats after 2 hours And often I fall asleep while doing it … it’s all stacked against me . But on the bright side , I have recently been managing to release them nearly every week 💪
Anyway , thanks for your patience and loyally watching them 🙏
@@MotherShipAdrift I understand, I think you are doing great. I really didn't mean it as a criticism, only a suggestion for possibly getting more views. I have noticed that you've been very regular on releasing the videos lately, so kudos for that. Also, I really have no proof that it would actually do anything, it's just my guess. 🙂
I do wonder myself ...if that is the reason we have so few views .Then I start wondering if its because we are so boring or ugly..but that just gets very dark so I am sticking to the lack of up to date videos theory :)
I think it is valid. Another channel that I watch who had skipped several weeks said as well that the algorithm punishes you if you are not regular at posting videos. And if somebody said in a video it must be true, right? 😄@@MotherShipAdrift

Making the same mistake twice or more times is actually a very human thing to do. Depends on all sorts of factors much too complex to quantify & characterise in a single sentence.
